SS T/C Vs. SS TVS Vs. 99-02 Cobra

Went out to a meet last night after finally getting my car back together and running right (Freaking boost leak was giving me problems for almost 2 weeks!!! ... IC cracked, I am not very fond of Synapse's welding jobs at the moment.)

Anyways, There was another Cobalt SS there. Definitely not something I ever see at a meet so I walk over to check it out and as soon as I get in front of it I'm like "... ummmm TVS?" And it sure was. I've actually been wanting to run a TVS Balt for awhile after hearing the numbers every one's putting down with them, I just wish I would of had my boost controller on.

So we agree to a race and there was also a Cobra there that he wanted to race so we went out and lined up 3 lanes wide with me in the middle to honk.

1st race: I honk it off and I'm a little slow to get on it and they jump out 2 cars on me. Stayed that way until we let off at about 120-125.

2nd race: Much better reaction time on my part, they only put a car on me while I built boost and they inched away from there.

After the race we talked and they said that the Cobra just barely pulled on the TVS so it was pretty darn close for them. The TVS Balt is a member on here and I hope he will chime in. Good races man! We definitely have to run again after I put my boost controller back on and re-tune for my IC.

SS T/C mods: Synapse IC, ZZP catless DP, Agency Power Cat-back, HP Tuners Tune only running 19.5 PSI

SS TVS mods: TVS w/ full supporting mods. He can list them when he chimes in.

Cobra mods: Intake and exhaust I believe? TVS might know the rest.

You should break boost and get a much better start, nice runs nonetheless

No it was an 99-01 with a supercharger probably. I would assume you guys did some pulls after the Xceed BBQ? You probably raced Eric, who has 2 supercharged 99 SVT's, one at 8psi and the other at 10 psi. Did it have black(Car at 8psi) or stock(Car at 10psi) wheels?

This had nothing to do with the BBQ. Was at the Sterling heights meet at 18 & Ryan.

Just so u know OP, there was no 02 cobra. And if you did race an 02 cobra, it would have been the 400 hp cobra-R which is one of the rarest muscle cars in existance.

So it was either a 99-01 cobra. And based on the outcome he was either boosted, OR running N20.

See my above post. I had an 01, and I know what it takes to make them fast.
