SS/TC vs j32-swapped Civic + WRX
Well, went out to a Subbie meet today. I didn;t get to run the WRX that whooped my ass in the rain a few weeks ago, but both cars I raced today were neck and neck with him, so I feel a little redeemed. Two runs vs the J32- swapped civic. Hate on Honda's all you want, but that civic is no joke. Also ran a 2011 WRX. He took the jump because I was sitting in third at just under 50mph, just out of the power band. Also caught footage of the Civic vs the WRX. All three cars were pretty equally matched.

He's got the J32a2. 260 crank hp stock. With the exhaust and throttle body we guestimate around 235-240 to the wheels. But he has a ridiculous weight advantage. And drag radials. He was grabbing against Subie's from 10 rolls. I was burning these factory Conti's. I'm seriously considering DDing ET Streets. Just need to explain to the fiance why I'll be going through tires monthly. lol
That J32 Swap Civic sounded pretty good WOT IMHO. That thing held really well being NA, very impressed. The Subbies really only have a big advantage from a dead stop, you should hang alright from a 10 drop once you get some rubber. Nitto 555Rs would be an option. My buddy had a 650 whp Cobra with Nitto 555r 315s in the back (Around town setup) and they held up really well under heavy acceleration.

Are you taking off your traction control?? I have about the same set up as you but I have Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position, and man they can handle a 2nd gear 30mhp roll pull with very minimal spin compare to my hankook v12s. And they act pretty good on wet roads too....

The go pro won't pick up audio worth a ****. Between the other car and wind noise you can't really tell. In the car you can hear the rpms jump when I hit it.
On this run with the WRX though I was wrong gear. I thought we were gonna start higher. I was in 3rd at like 45ish with a conservative boost ramp.

Yea, I was gonna say I pulled a 2013 wrx with the same mods from a 40 roll. Wrong gear makes sense. I would steer clear from the 555r, had them on my cobra not bad, but far from greatest. Check out the Mickey thompsons, Hoosiers or the nt05r.
