SS TC vs S5

Buddy of mine decided to do some runs coming back from a meet tonight. He has 2009 S5, not entirely sure on exactly what he has done but i know tuned. He has girlfriend in passenger seat and a travel bag weighing probably about 50 pounds. did 6 runs, 2 from 2nd, 2 from 3rd, 2 from 4th for me. I was extremely surprised he couldn't keep up with me. The torture of "why can't your V8 keep up with my V4?" jokes will never end for him now.

They're heavy and until you throw a blower on them they don't make impressive power. Like an LNF on e85 makes more hp and tq than a tuned S5 (V8 engine)

This.

As nice as the 4.2L V8 sounds, it isn't super quick or powerful.
Didn't help him that you weren't going from a dig either

My buddy's S4 V8 and my stock LNF are even 0-60 according to published numbers (5.5 sec). We never tested though. Audis are HEAVY.

From a roll stock for stock, the B6 S4 slowly loses to an LNF SS. A dig is a different story because the S4 can launch harder, a car and a half just out of the gate.
