So i still havent Modded a damn thing on my car, I have another video of me racing my buddies Stage 2 gti, Well my roommate came home and i got to race his Stage 1 gti( Tuned and carbino Intake)

2 days after i got my car we raced a short lil run and he owned me....

We raced last night, and for whatever reason i won twice!

So we lined up for a 40 roll, I dropped to second and he honked it off..
He Jumped about a half a car, I started to reel him in i NLS into 3rd and caught up by the end of 3rd i was a half car in front of him and kept pulling.

So we raced again, from a dig....He was in front of me...I ended up just about to pass him at the end of 4th but we shut down.

He was not happy with me at all, I pretty sure this is going to be a continually war with the GTI's at my house, I think he is getting Meth, Or going to use 100 Octane next time we race...He'll prolly beat me then ahahahah.. I'll try and get videos!

Anyway on the way home we drive past a shopping center, and some guys were hanging in there cars and honked at us and told us to come over so we did. My roommate went home and was mad...So the guys had a z28 with a muffler chop and the 5.0 had new mufflers.

So we sent back to the highway and honked off(40 roll), they pulled a car right away and the mustang kept pulling, the Z28 also pulled about a car and half... Same result did it twice...
The mustang beat me by about 2 cars, and the z28 a lil over a car in a half. They were cool and i told him i'd run them again once i was bolted and tuned. So they said they would hit me up.

That was my night... Awesomesauce?

A tune will murder all. Intake, CP, DP, header, exhaust, injectors and a tune and they won't be in front of you even if you drove only with your left foot.

 

It was a newer 5.0, and like a 02 z28, Shibito if i hang with them again i'll find out exactly the kind....they both were loud as hell....

Yea my roomy, took off half a day...Prolly to go get race gas....Im not racing him again till i get tuned...

 

Mustang stopped racing after he got 2 in front of you trust me unless ya'll shut down at like 90. I trap 109 and my buddies i/e 5.0 with the shitty gears still pulls buses on me up top. He traps 113 - 115 here in Mississippi.

 

I dont doubt that at all they dusted me, prolly didnt wanna waste his time...he was cool about it

 

Update to this, My roommate complained the only reason I beat him is because of he put 92 octane in his car....

We raced again last night same result... he is blaming his inter-cooler now...

I found those same guys I mentioned, And SHibito was on the money about the Z28...

 

hes retarded before my buddy went stg2, we ran all the time same result everytime, and he has all bolt ons, i have one a downpipe, i have a video on here somewhere running him on stock tune and with the tune on

Nice Vids DTP, I still cant beat my roommates Stg2, But we haven't a legit race race since i have had the car,

Now with the other roommates stg1, everyone is saying his car is just getting slower...

 

meh, they still dont impress me that much. id like to find a modded one to race since i know i can **** on a stock one.

 

yeah, he was stg1 with intake, dp, exhaust and I still by a car on stock tune.. Tuned I rape him lol, he just went stg2 (posted a war story about it on here with a video) stg2, he gets me by a car or two


His car isn't getting slower, your car is just faster and he can except defeat by a cobalt lol a bone stock cobalt... Just get a tune man, you'll be so happy lol

 

if your in MD i suggest taking a roadtrip to BYT and getting you a very nice tune. or you could head south to see M-DUB and get a killer tune. but thats pretty far away

nice runs op, and deff get a tune already and call all them out again lol. the 5.0 will probably give you a good race, once tuned. but there still slow in stock form

 

imma have to disagree with ya.. The new stangs in stock form.. In my opinion are pretty quick, my buddy got one, 12.8s all day bone stock on street tires.. Deff a step up from the previous years, but my idea of a decently quick car is prob different from yours lol.. Figure with a few bolt ons and a driver mod.. Possible high 11s, lol

 

A few bolt ons and driver mod can put a ss/tc into the low 12's with slicks. Cmiller is a perfect example. 90% of lnf owners wouldn't ditch the brembos to run proper slicks tho.

i raced one at a local hangout once and it wasent too good for him. it was bone stock. he even gave me my roll since i didnt wanted to run from a 40 lol because i had bald tires at the time so i spun even more than usual. anyways ive ran bolted and tuned lnfs and its the same outcome if not they would put a better run than the mustang did. thats why i was saying from my point of view and experience running against those. i do agree there quick from factory though

also at the track about 2 months ago some guy had a new 5.0 and he wouldnt trap anything lower than a 13.2 @ around 104-106 mph idk if driver mod was the case..

I can see what ya mean, I ran my buddies 5.0 with my old LNF, 22psi tune and a k&n drop in filter and a downpipe, on the hwy from a 60.. By the top of 4th he had about a car n a half on me.. He's coming home for Christmas so well be running again.. I'd like to see how it goes with my 24psi tune lol



Yeah that guy needs the driver mod, my buddy ran 12.8s allllll day during the spring which is pretty warm here in FL lol

 

The fact that your at sea level is probably why the 5.0's are faster.
