stage 1 srt-4 vs bolt-on ss/sc

so i finally met up with one of the members who has an srt-4 on this site. he pulled up next to me at a stop by chance, so we decided to go for a 40 roll, 60 roll, and a 70 roll.

his mods are aem intake and stage 1 mopar

my mods are in sig + 120 lbs weight reduction.

40-120 roll: i pull to his front bumper instantly, but he pulled even in 3rd and pull to my fron bumper in 4th and stayed there until 130 when we shut down.

60-120 roll: he pulled and i was on his rear bumper until 120,

70-130 roll: he pulled to my front bumper in 3rd, and i stayed there(didnt budge until 130)

not bad for a stock pulley ss/sc

I hate you for having instant boost!

It really made a different with the 40-120 pull! You got the jump but I ended up on top

Really you suprised me. It was an excellent race! But I have this feeling your 120lbs weight reduction and my extra weight from my sound system made a difference!

That and I am pretty much stock. Stage1 adds 10whp and 10wtq and intake doesnt add much I NEED A WGA!!!

Cmon give me a break, my car is old.. I have 137k KM on it. Probably bad compression in all 4 cylinders and a bunch of boost leaks HAH!

But nonetheless, Your car is sick and fast.

ill speak to my friend james he might be interested, when we meet at tim hortons(next to the mcdonalds) ill let you know, he's goign to want to take a look.

i just looked up the mods on your car, a stage 1 srt-4 should trap between 104-105. with your intake probably 105 so your car is as fast as a new 370z for example and a little faster than a new cobalt ss. the cobalt ss i raced was definetly tuned he pulled a few buses on me.

The new balts T/C can be nasty as hell when tuned!

And stock for stock, its a drivers race between an srt-4 and a T/C

Some guy I know has a 370z. Its actually one of tyler's friend named Vinny.

P.S. At what rpm where you shifting tonight? Your gears seem EXTRA LONG.

just a good tune and he would walk that srt-4 hard. add a pulley and meth, that srt would need more than a wga and dp to keep up.

im pretty sure my car would trap 103-104 with the weight reduction now, with the stage kit tune and meth it might be 110+ what do you think ralliartist?

I doubt it. The problem is that the SRT-4 stock WGA suck.

The spring opens up at 4psi ONLY! yep..

Stage1 has a better timming table and adds more fuel and boost.

I am supposed to Peak 17 and hold 15 to REDLINE...

right now I can only peak 15 and hold 13... which falls to around 11 at redline... baha

and with a Turboback exhaust, it will spool up faster and free up the lil beast

But His balt is hella quick with that 120lbs less. Cant wait to see when he has the pulley and meth in!

I wish I could strip my interior, removes seats and spare tire. Im just too much of a ***** on my bald tires..

ill find someone with those mods and tell you exactly how fast you'll be

you'll trap anywhere from 107-110, with your exact mods @ 18 psi

i should be in that range also MAYBE 110+ witht he weight reduction but im not sure ralliartist or someone else on teh site might know

21 spike holding 17 will get you to 110 forsure. depends on your tune i guess

I can't tell you what your car would trap. Every car is different and every part of the country is different.

based on how well i kept up with a car that traps at 104-105 im guessing i would trap at 103-104 + said mods i think it will be good enough to get 110+
