Stage 2 vs Hahn Stage 5

alright guys as i promised i meet up with the guy who has one of the first stage 5 hahn kits. we ended up doing a 40 roll and also raced a ls2 gto that had some mods (video to come i promise!!!!!!!!)

my mods ar in my sig, his are stage 5, turbo back exhuast, tires, and STOCK clutch (he says it was slipping a bit) this is all at 14-16psi? ( i dont remember, all i know is it wasnt 18 that he raced the gto with)

ENJOY!

it takes a bit for it to spool from a 40 roll. once it spools its game over!

when hes running regular boost (15psi) hes putting 320hp 270tw, at 18psi hes putting 360/340. if u run higher octane then 93, u can get it up to 22psi and run around 440/400? or it might be 420/380. im not 100% on the numbers for 22psi

You were right with the 15psi numbers, 320/270.

22psi with the 20g turbo, yeilded 360/340.

Thats why my guess for 18psi, is 330-340hp/300tq

There hasn't been any 400+ with the 20g yet on a stock LSJ. Bill said they are going to throw on the PortFueler setup and turn up the boost 25-30psi. Just like their Hahn SRT-4, 27psi on stock engine/portfueler.

The super 20G guys (srt-4) usually don't hit 400 even on race gas unless it's in the 26-28psi range (talking average joe guys). Granted the 20g isn't that popular in srt-land.

I knew one SRT guy down here that had tons of work and a 20g, he did I believe 413 or something like that on 27+psi. It takes a ton of boost on that tiny turbo to make the numbers. It does spool quick though.

I gave it to him one night coming home, we went from 40, I pulled nasty until my clutch said no more on the 2-3 shift. Even slipping, I still held him off.

You'd be surprised how many of them we've sold for SRT-4, actually!

I think our target customer likes a well-rounded, very usable power curve, and avoids the hype surrounding the big dyno numbers that don't always translate well into usable street power. They may not post up as much as the 'my turbo's bigger than yours' crowd, but they are more numerous than you may realize!
