Definitely not stage 3...

Stage 3's with bad drivers are doing high 12's on stock tires.

When I had my SRT, my best time was 12.9xx on stage 1, with a few bolt ons, stock turbo.

He was either the worst driver on the face of the planet and thought the brake was the gas, shifted to fifth from first, or was exaggerating about his mods.

Sorry to break the news.

much like how amps have power ratings as baselines and what they actually test at.

Could have been high octane mode...that alone increases hp by 50

Not doubting you but what bolt on's did you have?NSRT stock is a 14 sec car with a pretty good driver and stage 1 just bumps it from 230 to 240hp.

Ok, I found the kit listed after actual production.
http://www.leeparts.com/dodge_neon/m...grade_kit.html

Stage 3 with High octane mode is 355hp(and I'm sure there is "tweeks" for the kit to get more).I doubt they would under rate that considering they're using the numbers to sale the kit.None the less I bet they are fast as Poop..

^^^ laughs at this guy for calling me a troll and being stupid enough to think a bolt on cobalt can hang with a stage 3 str4 , lets be real here.

I had all the standard stuff...WGA/boost controller, piggyback, intake, coilovers, 160 t-stat and stage 1 computer and injectors...I'd say about 18-19 spike, falling to around 14psi at redline, and a 3" dumped exhaust.

My best attribute was driving...I was pulling 1.9x 60 ft's on the stock tires and mid to low
1.9x 60's on 18 inch yokohama parada spec II's when I had my 18's on the car.

The 12.9 was with those heavy 18's too!

sorry but that isnt a s3...a s3 srt comes with a 20g turbo...390whp is alot of power for a turbo that barely has any lag..i doubt u actually kept up with one

and the new mustangs are slow..a stock cobalt ss/sc can take them

Guess you thought wrong.

Howell's automotive.

That was the single best mod ever, power per dollar spent.

The t-stat used to be less than 20 bucks, and dropped a few of our times by a few tenths.

The SRT's turbos are oil AND water cooled.
