went to the track last night, got some good runs in. refer to my drag racing thread for them. When we left the track, that same sti that I was racing all evening followed me out to the highway. went from a 80 on the interstate up to about 140, he only pulled a car. I was hanging right on his rear bumper. He has CAI and Intercooler sprayer. I am stock. Can't wait to go back down to the KCIR and chill with him, I'll have some mods next time.

 

sweet story, i thought that i was keeping up with one when i was stock, but my buddy convinced me he wasnt really on it.. so i guess he might have been, with my mods i put 3 car lengths on an 07 sti, what mods are you gonna have next time you meet?

 

Ok no way! I'm SO calling the biggest steamest pile of BS in the whole history of BS!! There is NO WAY and I mean NO WAY that YOU kept up with any car let alone a WRX STI! Those things are pretty quick and no matter how fast you think you can sprint down the track a car would totaly PWN you and your Nike track shoes!

Now if the race was the STI > SS/SC then that I could at least see. But vs. YOU?!?!?!? Come on man!

lol, jackalope, I was like wtf are you talking about? anyways, if anyone tries to start some sti propaganda, just take a look at my VIDEO PROOF when we were at the track, he was only running 2-4 tenths of a second better than me at the track and that was due to a 1.8 60ft. compared to my 2.2 60ft. but I beat him at the track twice and he beat me once. I think that last race at the track would have been closer had it not been for massive clutch slip on my 1-2 shift. But like I stated in that thread, I gotta learn how to take it easier on that shift since that's the only shift it does it on. I was killing him on the light though. lol, my .022 reaction times to his .650's lol.

i beleive it. Sti's aren't nearly as fast from a roll as they are from a dig, so it is very beleivable. Good kill.

 

IC sprayers arent mods on those cars...they are factory...and Cold air intake doesnt do jack on the car besides provide a more louder spoolin sound.good luck hangin on by a car length

IC sprayers are only stock on the last couple years prior to that it was a mod.

 

You can race my buddies WRX. He's stock looking and has no hood scoop. Just a nice fat FMIC.

I have to admit for just being a WRX...he modded that sucker GOOD. Sometimes I wish I went AWD installed of the Cobalt, but everytime I crank her up I fall back in love.

I wont even front... i was at a light one time with a 06 white sti behind me.... right after u take the turn it turn into 2 lanes.... so im thinking "awesome... ill take off and he will follow.... and we will see what happens..." so we take off and i literally felt rushed through the light... like i was giving it all she had and the dude was right behind me... so when we finallly got the chance to get side by side... he didnt want to run anymore... im thinking its because he already knew he was going to stomp me..... beings i couldnt even pull away from him... ****** sti's... btw not meaning to thread jack, but did anyone see the new imprezas in last months motor trend... from what i understand theyre goin 5 door

 

the i/c sprayer has been a factory option since the sti was introduced in 04, a cai on an untuned sti actually hurts performance and in the long run will ruin an engine because it runs lean, but with a tune all it does is help the turbo spool quicker, and sound mean!, and the reason that subaru uses the top mount instead of the fmic is because the vm-93 is not meant to push the air threw the long pipes, so using the tmic prevents boost lag to an extent, if that makes sense

VF-93? Is that one that's bigger than a midgets dick and doesn't get boost creep from a TBE? Methinks my next mod is a 20g. VF-39 FTL. On a side note having the IC top mounted also keeps rocks and the like from bending the fins on the IC. Not so much bugs, but rocks it does a pretty good job on.
