k24s are a junk motor. my friend has a 02 si that has the k24 motor with an intake, and a hondata tune. its slow and it always has problems
youd win for sure

It depends on what other mods he's got. When people swap, they're usually not just going to leave it all stock. You very well could be in for a whoopin' or a win. There's no way of telling without more info.
hes stock i hope! lol but i asked him and he said its just the swap
well lets hopefully by next week well race and it will be from a dig! for all those people that talk **** on roll racing, and hopefully i win! p.s. my friends a shitty driver so yeaaa

If it's a K24 block with K20 head (it flows better) then I'd have a hard time imagining all he did was slap a head on it before dropping it in the car.
If he dropped a bunch of new internals (ie - cams
) and a good tune it should be close. If he's FI at all... you'll just see tail lights.

I'd say a bolt on only RSX-S would be close to a stock SS/TC. A built K24 would slaughter.
You must be smoking if you think the k24 is a weak engine... Your friend must be smoking also if his car is slow, perhaps he didn't do **** right
You never know with honda's. If the guy knew what he was doing, took some pride is his work, and used quality parts then it's a good race. However in my experience, the younger the owner, the louder they talk ****, the greater the chance of them having a hacked together pos swap and not much education on cars outside the honda forums. They dont budget for a proper swap, cut corners etc, and the car runs like **** as a result. I have a couple honda buddies that can run right with me, one is a sohc.... he would toast a stock tc.
Its the quiet honda guys that say nothing you have to watch out for imo.

thats fine with a fully built motor. thats not stock honda parts.... and a 96 ek is very very light.... and a k20 is alot stronger and better than a k24...

where do you hear that the k20 is stronger an better than the k24? why is the k24 w/ a k20 head such a popular swap? more displacement, more torque
now that race season is open.. i cant wait to see you run your low 14's at the track
seriously though op.. there are a few things.. if he's saying he just did the swap he's probably full of **** lol .. like people of said no one "just does a swap" unless they're cutting corners lol
i'd have a careful look in his engine bay and trunk as well as listening to his car lol
