a heads/cam ls1 beating a heads cam ls2 in a much lighter car... somethings wrong there. and the 440whp g8 beat the 530whp g8.

 

Badass vid as always! Some mean cars there. Good runs between the G8 and IRL. The last race between the vette and WS6 surprises me a little

 

You have a lot of things mixed up here.

H/C ws6 made 443rwhp, he actually got a retune that day but no new #s, definitely runs better though. Z06 supposedly made like 430, it doesn't have an LS2. C5Z's got LS6s...but this one has LS1 heads instead of LS6 heads (long story). Can't explain the loss, he might have been on the nitrous tune, car has a 175 shot but didn't spray.

No G8 only made 440 or 530. White one made 558, grey one doesn't have numbers but obviously makes more by how hard it pulled with a converter.

 

The redline ran a Mustang GT, not a G8. Sorry for the confusion.

 

When lookin at the list I read 08 as G8 lol I need to pay attention

I'd like to but not likely, I need a good clutch and some sticky tires. Money isn't happening for fun stuff right now. My pump gas tune is nothing special, don't even wanna waste people's time with it haha.

 

i could come out and play sometime. i go to ofallon IL to visit the wifes family every once in a while. i might have the BNR on by the next time i come out too.

That's a hell of a haul. Once spring/summer comes around, meets are definitely worth stopping in for.

Hmm...whatcha got? After his cam swap he says he should be in the 600-650 range, but a bigger pulley on to keep the boost down.

 

98 Ls1 A4 3600 stall 3.73 gears and some other stuff. Wont be in the 600whp range this summer but I weigh a decent amount less so I might be able to be competitive despite that disadvantage.

 

I'm just going to assume you'll have at least a H/C setup or a nice fat shot of spray with those bolt-ons, otherwise you won't have much of a chance. Not trying to be a dick or anything, just saying. Care to share what "some other stuff" is?

 

No heads and cam right now. But Im maxed out on 49lb injectors as well as maxed out on the fuel pump. So need to address that will probably go to 80-100lb injectors and some better valve springs and then with new exhaust see what she will put down.

But nope no factory option for this fbody

He said he has a built bottom end ready to go in and was thinking about a TVS. He's a member on here, surprised he hasn't dropped in yet. Maybe he finally only comes in to make excuses when he loses. lol jp scott.

I will be out some. Got a lot of work I need to do to that car. So im sure it will be up at craven getting some work (mainly exhaust work). Right now the cross over pipe is a piece of garbage the previous owner rigged up and its embarassing at best
need to order a new alternator mount new injectors new dual fuel pump setup and valve springs along with the exhaust at Minimum. I dont think I will be much of a threat this year. But we will see. I should still be able to give some of them a damn good run. Just got a lot of rigging to undo

 

Ya I've just been busy a lot lately and I was waiting for u to tell me when the bid was posted. The second race if u can't tell the gr got a big jump I didn't hear the hooks till the 2nd one. And ya I got a built bottom end sitting in the garage waiting for spring. I will prolly go with a 100 shot before a TVS unless I find a sweet deal on a tvs.
