Last night a couple friends and I were leaving an AutoX event and heading back to our shop, and one of them decided we should have a little fun on the way back in his Supra. We just got it back together a couple weeks ago and are breaking it in before cranking it up to make 850-900whp. It's a new OEM shortblock with ARP headstuds, springs & retainers, GSC S2 cams, Precision GT4202 with the 1.12 A/R exhaust side (95+ lb/min capable), Jacks Transmission 6-speed upgraded trans. E85 15-16 psi right now. Last year on about the same boost on a smaller s366et and stock cams with low compression (110 psi) on cylinder 6 on the old motor it made 550whp. I was on 26 psi for this run. He got loose in 3rd and got way to close to me! 315 Pilot Sports aren't going to do the job when he turns up the wick, so he is going to get R888's for the rear. A little different to drive than his old 743whp Evo We started at 40 and I lifted at 145 a bit after he missed 5th. He was flustered from the 3rd gear sketchiness lol.

Moving out, nice vid. That supra looks like it has some serious MPH in it already, even with the lowered boost.

 

Lol it was a close call. Luckily he is one of the best drivers I know so he kept it pointing forward. He said he couldn't even hear his car over my gate dump lol. We both need to turn the boost up, but the difference is I have like 50whp left and he has about 250 left

My friend that was filming just about jumped onto my damn lap when the Supra came at us He needed some "therapy" after that so we went and beat the crap out of his 800whp Evo, but didn't wanna race the Supra, for some reason

Lol it was! Luckily I was driving and only saw it out of the corner of my eye, so I didn't realize how close he really got.

August 11th we will find out what the Supra and Evo both make on party mode.

I just use Windows Movie Maker. There is another program that looks more capable on my computer, but I haven't had much time to play with it yet.

 

That could have ended bad lol

 

He hasn't even driven the car since he parked it right after this He is getting married Saturday though, so I guess I can cut him some slack lol

He said it was the first time it has ever broke loose after shifting to 3rd. We were on a kinda shitty stretch of interstate though, so that could be why. I'm just glad he kept it between the lines
