Had my car out today since it was about 45 degrees out and beautiful with the sun fnally putting a little heat into the roads and ran into a friend of mine who's family owns one of the ford dealerships in town. His mom traded in her Boss Mustang for a brand new 5.0 Auto a month or so ago and he was driving it around. We decided to do a few runs. The first was from about 40 to about 105, here is that run. I short shifted to 3rd a little at about 7-7200 since I havent "banged gears" in a while


The second run we slowed down to around 30 so he could let it go down to 1st. I pedalled i but it was still only 45 out so traction was a little tough. Here is that run.

 

I'm so excited! Only difference I will have will be 2.6 vs 2.7

 

Holy crap! That was a slaughter! My only question would be why trade a boss for it's lesser sibling..? Lol

Thanks guys. The Boss was a 2005 style, orange. This one is a 2013 5.0. Wasnt a new boss she had lol

 

I thought the boss was only from 1960-1970 and then 2012-present

Im pretty sure it was a Boss anyways. Had the black stripe thing on the side than went up on the front fender and said something. I thought it was boss. Never saw the car too up close. All I know is that it was traded for this one lol

I think he let off right before I did, which typically isnt like him Hes been out of the game for a while though since he bought a truck a few years ago. I also short shifted in the fist race a little but I can see what you mean.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I started to move over into his lane to avoid a little dip shortly before I let off (not sure if its still there but I remembed it from last summer at the time), so he may have let off when I did that. Who knows lol we didnt discuss it a whole lot afterwards, he just texted me and said "Old momma Kay's car couldnt hang with the tupperware I guess"

there was no Boss in 2005, just 1969-1970 and 2012-2013. it must have been an aftermarket/dealer sticker package.

Bottom end is stock, has a Euthanasia ported head with ZZP springs and retainers. 2.7" TVS on E85.
