I was on my way to a wedding reception party in my 2009 SS sedan... we were all dressed up in our tux's and dresses (me, my gf, my cousin, my cousins gf). I get to a light on route 40 and I see a red fire bird pull up next to me. My cousin verifies that it is the piece of garbage v6 version and it had two young guys driving it. I rolled off the line as normal and so did he. I get to third gear at around 2000rpms going 30-35 mph and he guns it!!!
I left it in third and pushed the gas pedal all the way down. I rolled on by him like he wasnt moving while my passangers waved to him, lol. very funny. My cousin noted the comedy behind it when I didnt down shift to get a better power band.

"The best part is you left it in 3rd and you have 3 adult passangers including yourself." lol. I lined up with him again but he didnt want to do it after that.

I always let them take off first and i shift into 2nd at there rear bumper and do a rolling burnout past them.. after that they dont try anymore and they have the picture

haha, so the day I got my MS3 (first manual dd car) I was driving around my place practicing. Now I was having horrible times taking off from 1st at stops. This saturn sc1 wagon pulls up reving at me at a light, he just took off while I fumbled to get into 1st right...well once I finally got going I passed him but man he must of thought he was special for a little while

Had a S10 come up next to me on the highway once. He paced me for about a mile before I dropped it to 3rd and floored it. 3 seconds later he goes screaming by me. Saw him a month later at a local BBQ. Had his hood popped and guess what the top of the motor said? Nissan 2500... Twin ******* Turbo'd R34 motor.

a red 2005 wrx was blowing off next to me on my way to work. I lined up at the light and we rolled off, I was giving him a chance to get a lead and he wasnt taking it. It seemed he was giving me a chance to lead instead

Well this wrx already blew his chance to beat me so I continued my roll at the speed limit and then he guns it. I lol to myself and leave it in 4th and gun it. rolled right past him and he slowed down. he ended up traveling the same direction for the next 20 miles, lol. He stayed behind the whole time and didnt try to blow off next to me or rev his engine anymore. If it wasnt cold out I would have rolled down my window and told him his car sounds nice. lol.

to this day my favourite waste of time was a new c6 vette with 2 middle age men in it....

I pulled up to the light next to him in my WRX ( had a buddy up front and one in the back) well needless to say my car idled rough and was ***** loud.... the vette guys looked at me and started loling... then they gave me a lil rev so i gave a lil one back and the pointed ahead.... so i flicked the car into 2step and we launched on green.... needless to say after i was 6 cars ahead and still pulling my buddy insisted on flicking em offf and waving bye bye.... they wouldnt get next to me afterwards lol

also hada guy in a v6 03 or so stang tell me at a light that i should have bought a real car not sum lil slow ass 4 banger.. i laughed and said id rather drive a taurus then his stang and needless to say we ran and i let off at 60 at about 8 cars ahead lol

man your town must be stuffed with quick car's you'd be lucky to see a car beat even me around here it's so lame... well except for a race i got coming up it's a $100,000 3000GT VR4... yes i said 100,000 dollar's and the kid did it because i beat him when i was stock and now i've put 1500 or so in my and he's put well... 75,000 in since then

we have our share of nasty ish... were close to mason dixon drag way so yea.... my buddy has a 663rwhp termi wit a 150 shot never used yet..... he runs 10.5s at 13_mph and dailys it lol

alot of C6Zs and built up fbodys a bunch of hondas as well... we got a couple 30-35r wrxs and stis rolling around and a dumb amount of boosted hondas lol

Kids in these mid 90s Mazda MX3s with fart cans, one has a bench on the back try to run at lights and try to fly by and I dont want to but I just blip the throttle a bit put a bus length on them and shut down. Also have trucks try to run me all the time but if I've already wasted gas on an unworthy race that day I dont humiliate them.

Happens to me alot, but not so much in my Cobalt. Mostly in my Jeep.

And that thing is quick.

But I just let em go. No point in wasteing gas. I get 14mpg.

Yup, almost weekly. I used to get annoyed, but I forget I used to do that sheit so I could see how they ran.
Especially in cars that I couldn't afford at the time.
Now, I usually smile and give 'em a thumbs up and they're cool with it.

Usually laugh... but there were these high school kids.. mom and dad probably bought this for them.. and they were acting like idiots. It was a '03-'06??? Mazda RX8. After tailing them.. and trying to keep away from their foolish driving... swirving and all sorts of crap. We met at a light.. the driver looks at me.. and starts jumping in his car and bouncing in the seat. Acting like the angry German kid off of YouTube. The light turns green. He takes off, i wait for a count of 3 and go. I caught him quickly.. and he looks at me and starts head banging on the steering wheel, and is like yeah yeah i got him. I'm sandbag'n like a kid in a fresh diaper waiting to take a fresh dump. So.. i then crush his hopes and dreams. I floor it while in 2nd and then NLS to 3rd and was gone. I glanced over to see his eyes wide open and then he stops headbang'n and tries to drive serious to keep up, but unfortunately.. its all over for him in his little RX8. Was fun times.

Me and my friend had a drag race about 2 years ago. Was my 07 G5 (L61 w/F23 trans) against his 1992 Subaru Legacy (5 speed, 2.2L SOHC). Wasn't even a contest. Fun fact: both cars from that race are now totaled in non-related crashes, both due to PA winters.
