My friend is getting a VW golf stock and says hes gunna tear me apart in a drag race with my driving my Cobalt SS/SC. Should i be worried?

From what I know (and read) about starting from a stop in a SS, you might be better off starting from a roll. I personally have never raced anyone driving a SS, so I am no expert. I have raced my 2.2L and I can launch it fairly well. I just takes practice.

lol, I dynoed at 220whp stock. thats waaaay over 184 man, I guess your looking at the205 gm gives us.
And for the racing buddy. go from 40-120 youll put no less than 3 to 4 cars on him, its gona be an isntant pull.

haha .2 to .1 seconds is not even close to raping and those time were acheived with a serrious clutch dump ... the trap speed stock for stock is typically lower than ours around 95-97 mph so anything other than a 1/4 mile race and its still the CSS

i like how everyone is humble... we're not saying our cars will kill everything on the street, but even when someone inquires as to if an outmatched car will cream us, we're still humble....

There's no hoping dude, you are going to embarrass him. It's going to be that bad. I've raced modded 1.8t's and they didn't stand a chance either. A VR6 stands no better chance then either of those cars does as well. Even the famed R32 is still a good match for the SS/SC in the 1/4 mile and will get walked on in a roll race.

No, you guys aren't humble, you are retards.
I've raced an '06 GTI about 5 times. Lost every time, stayed even once. This GTI is bone stock. I start pulling back on him later in third, but this won't be an "easy win" for you.
