W...t....f?!?

So I was cruising around on the interstate and have been following this charger for probably 10 or 15 minutes. Looked like a R/T so I didn't bother messing with it. Did however notice a late 90s early 00s Mustang GT coming up my right so after passing a few cars we get to the open and are 3 wide beside this charger. Well we go and do the run, of course I wipe the floor with the GT.

Well, later on that Charger rolls up a lil hot. He had civilian plates so I "knew" it wasn't a cop or so I thought. I notice as he passes me slowly that its an SRT 8. Couldn't tell from behind because it was debadged and dark out. Wheels were painted black. So I drop to 4th and give it a lil gas. Right after I do that I hear a "bu-woup". So I just let off the gas and slow to like 10 under. The charger passes me the rest of the way and I notice he has white strobes in his reverse lights. So, either this guy was a really cool undercover cop (since i kinda just raced a mustang right beside him) with civilian plates or some guy with a siren and strobes. SO W...T....F?!?

Here in my town theres an undercover cop with a new 2011 Charger R/T. No plate to distinguish him as a cop either.

EDIT: No Stickers, No Strobes, No extra radio antenna lol

I've noticed some areas starting to use unmarked cars with civilian plates.

PSP have R/T chargers (For testing), and I'd imagine a few areas where high speed chases are common (Cali) would probably have SRT-8's.

There are 2011 GMC Silverados, Charger R/T's... all sorts of civilian vehicles are cop cars here. All more or less ghost vehicles (not %100 stock).. so you can still spot em. But the truck definitely blends in well haha.

you ran into the county undercover car, expect a ticket in the mail. he doesnt pull you over, he has a computer that scans ur license plate and then they send you a ticket. were you in putnam or kanawha county?

In Ohio, it's illegal for police officers to enforce traffic laws in an undercover vehicle

In Wisconsin, I've seen f'n cops driving taxi cabs.

Kanawha. Wonder what he caught me doin?

Edit: This wasn't their ghost car. The ghost car is the newer style charger. This guy had srt8 rims painted flat black. It also didn't have that license plate recognition system.

I saw an undercover Jetta that had someone pulled over the other night. It really bugs me that the cops are so sneaky although they never mess with me, lol. *knock on wood*

here in tampa/st pete weve got a ton of charger srt8s (mostly sherriffs tho) and ive seen an 02 camaro ss, an a handfull of tahoe's. the local police have a few f150s, but their easy to spot cuz they have lights on the brush guard. they all have civilian license plates tho.

I was on the highway last summer back home in NY and I saw a charger srt-8 with big chrome wheels that had a guy in a mustang pulled over. Talking to a few friends around town they said it was one of the cars they got in a drug raid. He would roll through dunkin donuts sometimes and chat with all the older hot rod guys on friday nights.

I've seen a bunch of different cars used locally here as undercover stuff. Usually depends upon the department. I know the ATF uses old beat up cars line Lesabres and Intrepids here locally. I've seen a bunch of impounded cars converted over to undercover stuff like eclipses and RX-7s and even a cobra, but that was down in Monson MA. That thing was awesome and hauling right by the pike lol

yah MA uses Drug seizure cars now. there's CRV's, F-150's, you name it anything that would be halfway reliable and they dont have to pay for i guess.

and i know for a fact CT has some top end stuff on there side. Vett's and i believe a Lamborghini.

from Wiki:
The CSP has also had a long history of using non-traditional unmarked patrol cars for enforcement such as Chevrolet Camaros, Ford Mustangs, Ford Explorers, Grand Nationals, Ford F-Series pickup trucks, and most recently Dodge Chargers. These units are not equipped with light bars and instead utilize more low profile emergency lighting systems.
