so i was driving up to grafton the other day in my balt..." 2.2l with manual trany and k&n filter" and this dude in a 93-95 ish mustang flys past me... so i figure i have nothing to lose there no traffic lets catch up to him. so i come up on his tail just figuring id fallow him and get from point "A" to point "B" faster and he switches lanes and slowes down from 80 ish to 55.. and pulls aside me.. i could tell that this car was a v6 because it had a single exaust pipe and it just didnt have any rumble to it and his subs where louder then his car.. so i figured i give it ago. so we both slow up to 45 now i had it in 3rd at about3.5 and 4 grand.. " prime rpm" so he pulls up next to me says 3 honks.. he hits that 3rd honk and im gone i had atleast 2 cars on him the hole way though up untill 105 ish where i hit the gov. he pulls up next to me and shouts, " its not fair u have a supercharger and im auto n e ways" i laught and got off at the next exit...

it shows what little people know about are cars...

i guess the 2.2l's have superchargers now

V6 Mustangs from those years had a whopping 140hp from a 3.8L V6...slowwwwwwww. The early 4.6 GT's weren't much better...I know, I used to own a '98.

My gf has a 2000 5spd V6 stang and my room mate has a 2002 V6 auto stang and neither of them want to race me, even tho they claim they could beat me. Ill break them one day.

 

I Roasted one of these model mustangs in my SS/NA. Wasn't even a competition.
So yeah. I would say a 2.2l could handle one easily.
