if you miss a shift, its gonna make mustang look ALOT faster than it really is... still a blown 3 valve should have DESTROYED a tuned tard driven TC. An HP /trifecta'd balt should have ripped the tires loose in second, and i dont think THIS particular stang would have felt so great about the outcome.

That's weird I commented right after I saw the video?? here was of course many mustang nutswingers posting how shitty cobalts were. That must've happened recently with the disabling

Most are yes. But there's the kids that just throw on a cute little procharger or a small blower and think they're the ****. Keep in mind that 400hp Mustangs can be pulled on by a well tuned Balt. Lot of the S/C kits only put a 99-04 into the upper 300's and then 94-98's are worse then that. I would love to run the guy in the video though.

The car in the video is clearly an SS T/C
The fact that it can boost 26psi and has those T/C wheels tell me its a T/C.
Also the douche behind the steering wheel doesnt look like he could afford to swap out a LNF motor let alone do a turbo swap on an LSJ. Probably couldnt even buy the wheels..

So cbss.net calls the guy a douche for racing and not having a perfect run. This "douche" is one of the only willing to go from a dig. A supercharged auto 3v will make 99.9% of this site look like a "douche" from a dig on the street. No fwd ss/tc hooks from a stop and any v8 auto car will pull from a stop.
The cobalt owner raced a faster car and lost. It happens. Those ss/tc cobalt owners who can actually beat a supercharged 3v from a dig need to chime in...oh wait. There is only 2-3 that even exist.
Saying the cobalt owner needs a better tune because it doesn't spin from a roll is pure HONDA ricer. The cobalt owner could have decent tires, mounts, and/or a properly set-up car. But because it doesn't spin it's not fast? Mine chirps the tires in 2nd and still traps 110mph...I guess because it doesn't spin that it's not fast
I'm around mustangs all the time. A general rule of thumb is an aftermarket supercharged 3v GT with basic bolt-on's should be good for high 11/low 12s.

anyone noticed that it sounded like the balt miss shifted into 3rd on the roll race? not defending the guy or anything just throwing it out there.

The cobalt driver definitely sucked. My point, and I believe slowstang's point, is that some people here are acting like this wouldn't have happened if the driver didn't suck. A bolt on ss/tc is a 115 trap car at best with MOST setups. Depending on which blower he's using, this car could be a 12X trap car and people are still talking smack about it.

The problem is, everybody on this forum sees the best traps and ETs people have gotten and assume their car does that with equal or lesser mods, then looks at the low averages of what other cars can do with X mods and then compare. It happens on every forum. I am a pretty big cobalt fan because IMO it's the best AMERICAN sport compact available at the moment, but I also know what a 3v can do with 7 psi on say, a saleen blower or a KB and it would be embarrassing for an ss/tc if this 7 psi was on one of the better blowers.
imho (take it for what its worth) no one here thinks the cobalt would have won. they all think it would have put up a much better fight had the driver not f'ed up.
