guy in CSRT4 gets passed by a goat and balt.. he rides up to them... they all go at the same time and stay dead even til 150.

 

ha... sounds completely made up. and all 3 cars shot flames? ha if they went from 85 to 150 mph she wouldnt have seen them by the time they stopped unless she was goin that fast to or they were driving on a runway.

 

i think the OP claimed their top speed not by word of his wife. as for flames his wife could have exagerated a bit or they all did actually shoot flames..who knows..

 

Im a member over there. It smells like some BS to me and i posted in it as well.

It's not BS that his car couldnt keep up or beat either of the cars he listed. But the story does not inspire me to believe he isn't making it up. It's one of those things you just know after a while. Sort of like photoshops.... ive seen a few race stories in my time and the pixels....

Its feasible. You can see a flame burst from quite a distance away, especially at night on an open predominantly flat highway. Fake or not, it was a good story.

 

The day I bought my TC I hit it in first and my buddy behind me said I shot a flame out the exhuast going into second... Dunno :/

could it be the same ones that came up on the caliber?

hmmm nevermind.. this happened in IL and the caliber is in michigan.

on a side note... reading through teh mazda speed forums... glad i don't have one... they're cool in their own right but holy crap they break alot and a few admit the cobalt is a better performing car..

 

a guy in my unit and that is on my tour with me owns one. While we were on work up training his car kept idling high and was puffing out black smoke. Never was able to find out what was wrong with it. A few weeks ago, his gf was driving it since he is here. It just went dead on the road, wouldnt crank over or anything. She got it towed to the dealership, they thought it was the battery or altinator...did nothing. Finally after a week of trial and error they said **** it and orderd him a brand new engine.
