Whoot! First Encounter With an SS/SC.

Thers are a few SS's in town but they are mostly older guys well ther is one sunbirst orange one that a local speed shop did I/E to and he has parked next to me a few times in random places but any way......Tonite we went to check out the new Sonic about 20 miles or so down I-5 and who is getting on the freeway in front of me....So of course as we were stopped at the light waiting to get on the freeway i can see him checking me out in his mirriors and stuff so we get on I-5 and he slows down to like 60mph and i get next to him of course giving him the "peace, nice car" signal. So we start doing a couple 3rd gear pulls nothing too serious but i was suprised how my car did he wasnt destroying me too bad and one time he hit the rev limiter in 3rd and missed 4th so i actually got a jump on him that he never recovered from to about 100mph. So all and all i knwo im know where near as fast as him and for all i knwo he could of been fking with me but it was fun none the less and i hope to meet up wiht him in the future.

P.S.
His car needed a pully and a tune bad i could hardly hear his S/C and i dono what exhaust he had but it was desil truck sounding which makes me think TUNE TIME.

On a side note 1,300 posts!!
Sry its long.

Well the funny thing is that he always parksy by me in random places. Hes not the only one, i get SS's parked by me all the time. Maybe they just want to show off i dono but that guy was cool ide like to find him one day to chat maybe do a planned drive somewhere.

Whats the deal with the whine less s/c (yes its a ss/sc ive seen the s/c with my own eyes when i was getting i/e put on) and the desil sounding exhaust? Its like he needed a tune or had a bad tune or something.

It wasnt loud most likely because he didnt have a pulley, and the loud ass exhaust over whelmed the sound of the blower.

yea really the SC's are not loud until you get a stage 2 or pully and tune. Then look out.

I want stage two just for the noise. Lol.

I didnt mean that in a bad way, yea i park next to balts too sometimes. I just wish there were more peole in my area that were more into their balts and not driving them for the gas milage.
