There was a purple SS/SC with white wheels at the track running mid 14's @ ~101mph I'm assuming stage 2. Thats a TWO second difference from my catback and DR'd GTO.

Lol, GTO owners are the only V8 drivers I know that get so up tight when you start talking about their car. More so than any other drivers I know and hang out with. Then again I know some real douches that drive Cobalts and SRT4s. But that is why we just ignore them.

personally if i get beat, i get beat, ill admit it. i always have. GTO guys i know (minus the one i raced in my vid) think there must be some divine intervention for them to lose to anything that isnt just ridiculously fast.

Oh I agree. I think that is why the local GTOs owners can get along with me. Cause I can careless. 90% of Cobalt owners are complete douche bags though and give the good ones a horrible rep. Too many young kids who only got their car cause of their parents thinking its the ****.

Hell the only way I met some of the GTO locals is because they parked by us to try and make fun, only to realize we are "normal".

we didnt park by you by design.... it was the first time jay or i had been there so we just parked wherever we found... and actually we got there before you guys did, because we were stuck talking to that weirdo in his 2.2 with SS badges for a while untill you guys showed up

I can tell why people get along with you. Cobalt owners here love to tell about how their 2.9'' pulley and stage 2 hung with and/or beat a 5.7 or 6.0 GTO. Then comes the "only a 4cyl" "those cars are heavy/slow" blah blah blah etc, etc...

i don't understand why everyone cares so much. and... why are there so many GTO drivers on our forum anyway?? Why are there so many drivers on this forum that aren't cobalt owners lol. Seriously they're everywhere!! Are we really that BIG of a threat that everyone comes here to try and proove that they're faster than us??

I'm not saying that its all bad though. There are a lot of non-cobalt guys that don't try and trash talk our cars every two minutes who are here to learn and just be part of the community.

 

i completely agree that a 12.5 car will own a 14.3. funny how you guys seem to think my buddies goat that runs 11.53 (in the 1000 here) should outrun my car running 11.3's. sounds like a little bit of douchebaggery to me

 

Will somebody start a GTO.net or something already!!! Damm I am sick of seeing this ****. Yes the GTO's are faster, but you are talking about a RWD V8!!! Not a FWD 4!!! Lets have a contest of who can get the better gas mileage on the highway, I know I could win that.
