So im on my way home from checking up on my store and traffic was alittle heavy but im just cruising along and all a sudden a brand new civic si 2 door gets on my ass.now being the humble driver i am i just keep cruising.but yet mr civic stays on my ass(literally inches from my bumper).so the road opens up to 3 lanes and i drop to third and go for it(i hate street racing but i hate cocky people)he stays right on my ass then shift to 4th and i just inching barely then we come to a stop i give him a and he turns left and i go right.i almost 100% positive if we went from a stop he would of got me but i raced one at the local dragstrip(firebird raceway)and raced the same car different person though and he ran 15.7 i ran 15.6.just thought id share with you guys.i thought these cars were faster than this could it be cause hondas have no torque?

Ive beaten some cars in my LS which on paper i shouldnt of but a new Si should be quicker than a 2.2, like every one said get a pasanger and get it on video (roll and dig).

 

The New Si has 197 hp and 139 ftˇlb of torque with a 6spd manual and a 0-60 of about 6.5secs.

Your Cobalt has 145 hp and 155 lbˇft of torque and your 0-60 is close to 8 seconds.

To me this just doesnt add up, I'd have to see it to believe it. Although papaer racing can be wrong, to me this is an easy win for the Si.
Get a video of you beating a new Si and I'll eat my words.

I'm used to driving by myself and last night I drove three of my buddies to go see Iron Man (we're all about 225-250ish). I tried to get on it a couple times, and my car was not so happy about it...

 

Kid i am not i have nothin to lie about especially to you!more than likely punk ass ************ couldnt drive his car but i can drive mine!PE delay is a mothafucka and i know how to get through it which makes the car faster than usual.not a whole lot faster but it helps.i dont think i can beat every honda.ive been beaten by a couple honda a srt-4 a corvette that passed me like i was standong still when i hit 110,o what else have i been beatin by?a new mazdaspeed miata(turbo)sti's(was at the track)all sorts of **** man.just kids have there parents buy them brand new cars(i.e. si's evos and ****) and think there baddest person on the street.like i said i raced a 07 si at the track he ran 15.7 i ran 15.6 therefore i win tes he took me in the 60 foot but i caught him L61 FTW

People think out 2.2s are super slow bro, its not that big of a deal. Who gives a **** what anyone thinks anymore. My Best time, also my first time to the track i ran 15.5. Ive seen supercharged cobalts run slower than that, some people just cant drive.

OP, nice kill, them low-torque high-HP cars are a bit picky in my experience, the right driver can really make them go though. Find a guy who can hit close to the advertised time for the new Si and run him, you'll see a different car come out to play.

i havent raced any si's and i know the regular civic is slower but i smoke the hell outta the regular civics every time one pulls up beside me. some have been modded and some hasnt and thats with me only havin a intake at the time. im bout to have a 75 shot 2.4 mani and full exhaust so it'll be even worse for the honda's..
