I didnt have a chance to read the whole thing, are we talking STI's or regular stock WRX's? Cause yea a stock WRX woulld lose. I have a friend who has one. its an auto so take that into consideration, but from a launch he pulled about 2 cars on me. By the time we hit 100 I was quite a few cars ahead of him. From a roll, it wasnt even a contest. Now I did have intake and exaust at the time, but still stock for stock yes a Stock SS would take a stock WRX. Mods are a whole different story. I was at the track with a modded WRX and he beat my ass. He was running 13.4's. He would get the launch he would get a few cars ahead and then just stayed there. Didnt pull any more but I couldnt catch up either

A stock 02-05 WRX would lose to a SS S/C from a roll. From a dig, the wrx would have the advantage but the SS would creep up as the speeds get's higher. A lightly modded SS kept up with me from a 3rd gear roll to end of 4th. Not sure how we stood at the end of the run but it was pretty dang close. I think the SS had intake, exhaust and 2.9'' pulley and I had Cobb stage 2.5 untuned. I think i was only up a car or two, but i'm sure if the guy saw this post, he'll clear up how close it was.

i'd definately prefer the WRX over the 2.4. I like the AWD and the car in general. I would definately look into the 5mt though, although you can make the 4EAT fast it just requires more money because you have to dump money making the auto faster.....

I'm up to stage 4 02-05's from rolls at least (gay huh). Win some lose some but there all close. I'm trying to set up digs against them but i need a car and the break impossible for me to go heads up. And before you wrx guys call bs i can link you the the WRX web site where they were all talking about the races. IF you keep looking you'll run into one of those faster than avg cobalts its only a matter of time.

That was me, at the time I had an intake, cat back and 3.15 pulley. It was real close but he had a car maybe? WRX02's car is far from a stock WRX though. With my car as it sits now with the 2.9 pulley and Stage 1 he'll be checking my tail lights. WRX02's mods make the "little" WRX alot quicker than most think

I think that is a pretty dumb thing to say. Just because he wants an auto doesn't mean he can't drive stick.

some sort of limited left leg movement or something crazy....felt kinda bad because the person seemed like a die-hard car person. Ashame he couldnt drive a manual...

People are blowing them with 280 whp. Its a great design but if you want any power out of it, its going to need internals....

ps. I'm talking about the 2.0 ecotec supercharged....

So who has blown up thier ss/sc at the 280 whp mark so far?
