Alright , theres a douchbag, in our school who thinks his v6 camero is gods gift to earth. Now, where would I stand against him. Im running with the almighty 2.2L with injen cold air, gonna hve exhaust, header, downpipe by the time we race. He has a K&N filter, pacesetter headers, and I beieve he said flowmaster exhaust. I know my friends H22 civic hatch blew the doors off him and had to put on the 4-way blinkers after it. Soo where do you guys think I stand.

But seriously, I say the camaro beats you, especially if you do it from a dig.

 

um.. with a 2.2, i dont know. i would guess that he would win. just my prediction though.

 

I dono about comaro but my gf has a 2000 v6 5spd musgang and its a dog. Im pretty confident i would take her either from a dig or a roll but she wont race me cause she is too afarid to get a ticket. So i will never know for sure.

I say try it and see. If he beats you it wont be buy much so you will have that at least, but if you beat him then ull be the man, untill the honda rolls both of you.

 

You might have a chance depending on how old it is and how many miles it has on it. If its got a lot of miles on it and been ran down like some of the v6s, you shouldnt have a problem. But if its still in good condition then you might lose. You should spray a 50shot on him and don't tell him about it lol.

 

obviously a h22 hatch would beat us, measured in bus lengths. but i wouldnt do it froma dig and a roll. I think he may come out on top both times, but i wanted to know anyway. hes just an asshat

Blown - its probably been beat up. he got it used, and he thinks it teh **** to chrip the tires trying to park it, no lie. and he roasts them pulling out of the parking lot every day.

Fball- dont you know V6 cameros have been terrorizing every other car for years. Just ask him, only a ferrari or z28 could beat him

i raced my buddys brothers v6 camaro from a dig, he has a auto and im manual he had me by 1 car until i hit the top of 2nd then i took him a 3/4 of a car...its close...i was only had a catback at the time he had catback flowmaster

so npo5, what your saying is theres a chance ? haha, i want to see this race to. From what ive heard they are heavy cars. and his motors is beat up, hes really hard on that car.

 

i didnt read the other posts but i ran a co-worker that has a 98 3.8 camaro w/ intake and exhaust. i have intake, header and exhaust. we were pretty even but at about 4k in 2nd i pull ahead. we have yet to go from a dig.. we did anywhere from 10-70 to 40-80.

 

idk about the v6 camaro, but i raced a 00 v6 pony, and we ran from a 20 roll, i pulled him as soon as the race started, got a car ahead and that was it, he was a 5spd too...,i know somewhere along the road(which didnt exist cuz if he's still behind me at 80 he lost) he'd of caught up

ps-he was creeping and creeping fast

 

If you're going to race on a street that isn't proving much at all. As a matter in fact it is childish. First of all I guarantee you that you have no concept of safety around you. You think that nothing can happen. You sound to be under the age 20, you think you're God. Take it to the track not the streets. I know where you are coming from, I myself like to think my 2.2 l Cobalt is a rocket. It's a fun car. Being 18 gives you a lot of responsibility and temptations with new cars. The point of growing more wise about responsibility,safety , and controlling your childish ways.

+rep for you...and yeah street racing isn't safe, i know that, i mostly do mine at the track now, i used to street race alot, but after a certain incident i kinda keep it off the street as much as i can...actually the incident involved the pony i raced, a mini van got infront of me and i hooked and than she quickly moved onto the lane the stang was on, knwing he wasnt gunna stop in time to not hit the bitch, i hit the brakes and let him cut infront of me quiclly b4 he hit the hoe...that was a close fucken call...

 

i want you all to know, bench/paper/numbers/theory racing is gay!

If you want to know what YOUR car does against HIS car just go out and race him already!!
