*Please Read*New Wheel Concern Question...

Ok, so I just got my 19x8.5 Rennen RC2's in the mail today from Jason at APP(a plus performance) and I have a question & a concern about the wheels... As you can see on the box it says 5x110 and on the outside of the rim it says P.C.D. 5*112. Does anyone know what this might mean? I specifically made sure to order the 5x110 pattern. But I am worried that they are 5x112 now.

I've tried to contact Jason but so far no answer on his phone line or on the forum yet. He's usually pretty quick at answering questions or calls so I'm sure he's really busy. I just thought someone on here might be able to help me out in the meantime.

I tried to measure the wheels but couldn't really tell if the holes were 110 or 112mm apart.

Should I just try to put the wheel on my car & see if it fits properly?

I am waiting, but thought someone else might have some input on this before he messages me back or calls me.

I think they just re-drilled 5x112 wheels for 5x110. I think that's why there is no paint in the lug holes.

Relax. You won't need your summer wheels for another 2 months anyway! lol. I'm not ordering mine until late march, early april. That will give me enough time to change my mind 50 more times! lol

I didn't think that is possible to go from 112 to 110. How can you go smaller?

I wouldn't try them on just because you wont be able to tell if they fit right anyway. they'll both most likely fit on it but the 110 is the right measurement to use. Just verify before you go ahead and put them on. Those are some s.e.x.y. a.s.s. w.h.e.e.l.s though. How much did you pick them up for?

Well, there has to be a way to tell if it fits or not, right? Wouldn't I know right away once I put the rim on & lug nuts? Regardless of what happens I'm trying to put one rim on tomorrow while my car is on jack stands.

They were 1135.00USD(shipping included) + 140$ brokerage/customs fee today.

Anyone else have any ideas of wtf that PCD 5*112 would mean?

Well, I just talked to Jason on the phone(excellent customer service!) & it looks like I'm waiting until Monday to find out what the deal is because he has to phone the warehouse & talk to whoever packaged them.

I'm not going to put them on until I know for sure. Once they are on I'll post pictures.

So it means its 5x112 then? Isn't that the same thing? Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's what I thought. Damn I hope they aren't 5x112! Maybe someone messed up with the labeling at the warehouse. I won't find out until monday or sometime next week for sure though. No matter what, worst comes to worst I have to ship them back & wait for a new set.

Well on the box they crossed out the 2 and out a 0 in sharpie

Maybe since they are so close they didnt think you would notice.

Worst comes to worst you can use wobble lugs to compensate for the 2 millimeters.

Nah, I wouldn't trust those wobble lugs. I'd rather have an exact fitment.

And yeah, it's either a mix up or a really bad forging job. lol. That sharpie 0 made me wonder right when I saw it.

Yeah, I'm thinking they are too. Jason said this has happened before. But I'm sure hes going to have everything straightened out for me next week. Who knows, maybe they are actually 5x110. I have to wait & see though.

Check it!!!

Well.... what was the result when you MEASURED each wheel yourself? That will be your answer right there. I would want to know that BEFORE. If correct, no need to call anyone.

I only measured one & it wasn't accurate 100%. It partially looked like 112 & 110. I even followed a bolt pattern measuring guide from Google.

Well you have to think, they arent really much different so your measuring is going to need to be very accurate.

True. I'm going to try a different rim & see if it's about the same. Maybe 1 out of 4 is the right bolt pattern. lol

Well, don't ask me how, but I was told my wheels were actually custom drilled from 5x112 to 5x110. I was told by Jason today on the phone. I will be putting one of the rims on today to see how the fitment is. He said the factory lugs might not fit & I might have to wait for the rennen lugs I ordered. I'm going to give the stock lugs a shot in a few hours.

Weird!!!!! Well I still don't know yet. I will be trying the fitment out in a couple hours. I just didnt think it was possible! lol ****, this might be good news for me! I'll let you know how it works out & I'll take a few pics.

Looks like they fit & are completely center! I just need the skinnier Rennen lug nuts to completely tighten them on there because the factory lugs are too beefy! Damn what a relief!
