18" +45 rims and sportlines

these rims i really like in 18" are a +45 offset and i'm worried when lowered with sportlines there might be rubbing do to the offset. I haven't seen anyone on this forum running a +45 wheel yet with sportlines. What do you guys think?

I had 18X8" on my cobalt that was lowered with sportlines. The offset on those was 40, how wide are yours?

Well it all depends on the tire you run, you won't be able to run any wider than stock i would guess, but if you could then only one size wider. Let me check and see what the difference is.

From what i can tell you will be closer to your strut by a little more than 1/2" (.6425) and inch with the wheel and tire set up.

With my 18X8" +40's wheels i was just under 1/2" (.425) closer to the strut. I remember my space looking pretty small between the tire and strut but i'm sure i could have gone a size bigger so you should be fine. If you want measure a 1/2 in on your tires and see it anything hits or is too close.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but, I'm going to anyways because I'm selfish

Chevypowered -

I'm not that great with the suspension and wheels stuff, and it seems like you've done your research.

I'm interested in a set of 19X8 with a 38mm offset, would I have any issues if I wandered from the stock set-up with either SSC or Sportline springs? I don't really know all the stock specs and tolerances, so it scares me without knowing. If you could help, that would be great.

EDIT: I probably should have just PMed you, but what the hell...

yours will be .5" closer on the inside and .893" farther out. So take a ruler or something like that and measure all the way around the inside and outside using these numbers and see if its going to hit anything. I'm going to guess not since but double check. I would also check your aspect ratio, it would seem to me that it would need to be 35 and not 40.

That would be amazing if I could run 35 w/o speedo or odo issues. I don't have a link to a calculator, but I should probably just have searched. If I could run 35's then I could grab Eagle F1's...mmmmmmm...my favorites!

Looks like you're right.

225/35R19 Diameter Difference: 1.61%

225/40R19 Diameter Difference: 1.81%

EDIT: If anyone wants to know where I got the conversion from, it's at http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...bmit&reset=yes
