19" wheels?

Hey I'm looking at moving to 19" wheels this coming summer from my 18"s. Does anyone know of a good wheel/tire combo that will fit?? Kinda hoping I can find something with minimal to no rubbing. Thanks for the help.

i had 19"s but the ride was absoulutly horrible.. you can go as wide as 235s without rubbing though. they do look sweet. if you get an 8.5" wheel with 235's you will have no fitment problems, any wider and idk

Yeah I was kinda thinking the rid might be harsh, but I had an s-10 lowered with 20"s and although it was ruff it was not the end of the world lol. I've got 225's on a 7.5 rim. So I can go to an 8.5 with no problem, hmmm....something to think about. Thanks for the help.

Take a look through this thread: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/wheels-tires-96/official-19-rims-club-72103/

I am going with 19"x8.5"'s with 235/35 tires and coilovers so I can customize the damping for maximum comfort.

I love my 19"s. They're 19"x8" Axis Mods and i'm running 225/35/19 Nankang Ultrasport NS-II tires. The car is also lowered on Eibach Sportlines. Contrary to what some people might tell you, the right really isn't all that bad. I daily drive mine on interstates for work, which can be pretty damn rough at times. I mean it won't be as cushy as stock, but sometimes ya gotta make sacrifises. Let me get a few pics for ya....

Here ya go:

More pics are in my gallery if your interested in seeing more. Hope this helps!

The ride quality is the only thing that would keep me from buying 19's at this point. I am getting coilovers soon, so that should help with ride quality.

Coilovers.....help with ride quality??

I think not. Even the softest setting on most dampening adjustable coilovers is considerably rougher than stock shocks/springs.

Maybe I will just get some Koni yellows to go with my Progress springs then. My struts are done.

Word. Mine are too. But they'll probally stay done until I sell the car someday.

Getting an SS/TC front lip put on is a larger priority at the moment.

Then you need the rear lip to complete the set! lol. Actually, your car looks mint as is IMO!

19" will need to be 8" or 8.5" wide around 35mm to 40mm offset to work , recommended tire size is 225/35R19 as mentioned above
