215/40/18 How do they look?
Hey guys I'm getting tires with my tax return but It's not a heavily big amount or I would just go get the 225 or 235/40/18 BFG KDW 2's. On tire rack thiers 215/40/18 KDW 2's for a $143 so my questions is the stock tire size on our car is 215/45/18 by dropping the 45 to a 40 what will the diffrence in looks and handling ablitlity be?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Go with 245/40/18's. They are the perfect size for the stock rims. I have no rubbing issues and I just launched today. With no mounts or traction bars on I layed down 2 black stripes and no wheel hop. U will not get good traction with 215/40/18, its smaller in diameter then the stock which means it will spin easier.

well it is obviously a difference in width. diameter wise i believe its only .1" bigger which isnt nothing. i think somebody on here has 245/40/18's and is lowered with no rubbing issues. dont quote me on that but i think there is somebody on here with it. i noticed a big difference with traction today, it gripped a hell of a lot better. all i know is you cant go wrong. once it warms up im going to be getting some enkei evo 5's, which are 7.5" wide and 35mm offset.
