225 vs 235

ok i have done the searches and read the posts. I know the fitment issues with the 235 on the 7.5 wide rim. etc...etc... what i would like some input on is if 225 and 235 would give me large differences in performance. i am looking at a 18-7.5 rim for a 225 and a bit more expensive 18-8 rim for 235. 235 is about 9.25" wide and the 225 is about 8.46" wide. so does this added width = better traction?? thanks

added width means better traction but watch how you launch...Better chances of breakin the axles.

yea....lol but i will be saying bye bye to my axles sooner or later . I should be ok though, even with the added traction they still wont hook like DR's

of course not but youll find that you have to launch lighter than usual but there is no harm to the car and thats what matters. Have fun when you get them, should be more fun
