245/40/18... real answeres!

For those of you that have actually ran 245/40/18 tires what are your results? Do you have problems, such as rubbing? What suspension do you have? I have searched and read all the threads about them, but it's mostly just opinions saying, "They're too wide." But then there are the one's who claim they run them and say they have no issue's at all. So for those who have actually run them, what are you're results?

BTW, I have a 08' TC with the 7.5" wide rims.

Only 2 people have said it fits (Wickedss and someone else.) LIKE i SAID I ALREADY SEARCHED, I just want the answers from people who actually run it. Instead of people just saying "There too big."

I run 245/45-17s on mine with a +38 offset, when it was at stock height no rubbing eccept when hitting a bump while turning, when I lowered it on TenzoRs I had to roll my rear fenders only needed to do the seams, didnt need to actually pull the fenders, I also noticed the passenger front tire would rub frame at full left no matter what speed.

I just had them put on a couple of weeks ago. Love em. No rubbing on stock suspension, I bet it would rub if lowered.

Downside, it took the tire jockey almost 2 hours to mount them.

i dont know how you guys are mounting 245s on stock rims, if you are? i work at a tire shop and my 225s were a pain in the ass to mount, the bead didnt want to seat, and i put so much air in them that no more air would go in. but finally then ended up seating after a little while. so i dont know how you would do it with 245s

ok, so who's got pictures of the 245's on the stock rims? I imagine it looks cool if the wide tire goes past the rim's edge. I was considering a 235/40 18 on my 07 SC wheels. I drive hard so if the tires r gonna rub round the corners, they're not practical...

235's are plenty wide and grippy if you get good performance tires.

Here is the only pics that I have of them so far other than the color version. I had one baby rub the other day hitting a pot hole that would swallow a yugo.

I run 245/40/18s on a 8" rim w/ a +42mm offset

I am also lowered on BC COILOVERS

They rub hard core when making left or right turns on the inside of the wheel well.

NUFF SAID

It's to wide a tire for this car to be driven daily on a lowered suspension.

Stick w/ a 225/35-45/18 tire.
