245/40/18's
245/40/18's
Aight well guys i just ordered some 245/40/18's for the front today and gonna be getting them in monday morning around 9. does anybody have these size tires on their stock rims. if so how do they look and how much better traction do you get??? im not worried about rubbing issues because im stock height and i dont plan on lowering the car.
u got the azenis' they are good tires- be prepared to replace them in about a year tho- they go really quickly, i have them on the EVO
mine fit fine- no rubbing when turning or hitting bumps, and they look good! i have the progress springs

i bought them, a friday, went racing that night, clutch slipped. put them on the back.
i drive the car about 4000 miles/ year, i could care less how long they last.
best if i can start each year on new rubber.
sorry about the big pix, but i thought id show the thread starter what they look like on stock rims for 3 angles.

Sweet! I was pretty sure I was gona get 225s but I might just step up to 235s. Cars look so much better with wider tires up under the car.
thanks for the pics guys. they look awesome and a hell of alot better then my 225/40's i got on now. I like how the sidewalls bulge out just a little. It gives it a more aggresive look. This is getting me thinking about 255's now with a different offet rims and messing with the fenders so it fits in just right. lol way to much work though. i cant wait now. all i need is a clutch now so that i can test them out lol.
^ yes it does. it means the tires are 245 mm wide then you take the aspect ration of 40% multiply it by 245 then x 2 plus the rim size to get the diameter.

alright guys well my brother put my 245/40/18's on up in the front and damn i love them already. so much better traction in the rain and hitting the corners. i havent had the chance to launch with them yet since my clutch is not in good condition. saving up for a stage 2+. but for anybody who is looking for some good tires with better performance over all i highly recommend getting 245/40/18's. i will be getting some for the back here soon so when they are on, the car will be perfect when it comes to handling and everything. as of right now, my car is stock height and i have had no rubbing issues. i even went on some crazy roads with nothing but potholes and never did the tire rub or anything. i highly recommend these to anybody. i wish i had some pictures but i cant get ahold of a camera at the moment.

Yep, I have a base than came with 195/65/15 i now have 245/45/17 and was ticketed for 83 when my speedo said 74. It also knocked a mile off my 30 mile DD so my milage isnt acurate.
