265/35/18 Sized Tires

we are putting 265/35/18 on a pursuit tomorrow. The rims are 18x7 and the car is going to be lowered 1.9". Will there be any rubbing issues?

Thanks a bunch!

265/35 on a 7" wide rim? Those are way to big and i don't know if they will even mount and hold air.

Well if they are going on a stock rim then the rim actually will measure 7.5" but with a 35 profile you need to be closer to the tire manufactures recommendations for proper fitment, handling and safety. I personally think 245/35r18 is really pushing it on stock rims. IMO.

COuld always get out the plasma cutter and trim fenders?!

They are aftermarket rims but still only 7".

I really hope it all works out because I wanna see them on this car tomorrow!

225's should not rub at all. Especcially since they are the other recommended tire size for our vehicle. 265 ? Good luck with that to me it is a flat out ignorant ass idea. Try remove your wheel well covers and perhaps they will fit.

I have 225/40/18 on h&r springs and mine fit perfect and they are on a rim that 18x8. I wouldnt recommend 265/35. But good luck

Well dont be surprised if it doesnt work. the other thing is if you manage to get these tires on then go slow over a approach on an angle to articulate the suspension (get the right front and left rear for example to squat the suspension and see how close to get and turnting the front wheel too.

If these dont work then try 245.

245/4517 worked but the tire diameter was way different.

Well after some talking I dont think these are going to work. So now we need some smaller tires

Maybe something like 245 in the back and 225 in the front... WIll that work?

There is absolutely no reason to put wider tires on the back of your car. It will only slow you down...

What is the advantage to putting wider tires on the rear?

and 265's all around will rub like a bitch when you turn, if they even fit, i had 275's on my camaro, all around and had to go down to 245's on the front cause i couldnt turn properly, and you can be damn sure our cobalt's and pursuit's will have less room

no advantage, just looks tight, especially when lowered

235/40R18's fit without rubbing on the SS S/C's. They are tight, but they work.

i agree, sort of like a z06 stance, and how our fenders flare out at the wheel well, i thought bigger tires would look complete bad ass

the only cars that would benefit with wider tires on the back than on the front would be RWD cars, for getting better hookups.
