5 x 114 Completed

Well I finished My 5 x 114 hub swap and have driven it around for a week. I have Drag DR 31 17 x 8 with Nitto NTO1s 255/40 ZR17s. The car really hooks up now. I love these tires. Handles much better in the corners. I got a set of 17 x 9s for my slicks. Discount Tire Direct really helped me out with the wheels and tires. I used the Timkin hubs.

I used the Timken Hubs which are nice and strong. HA590070 is the right part
number for the front. The part number they have in the book is wrong .Its for
the LSJ. The rears are HA590088 The final stud hole needs to be 31/64 so when
you put the studs in they are tight. I used a impact set at 75 lbs the pull them
in. I took mine to a machine shop for drilling. You could do it yourself but you
need a hubcentric spacer with both bolt patterns. The spacer fits over the hub
snug and has only the exact size holes and no slots.

You swapped to 5x114.3 and got Drag wheels?

So, you have your stock rotors and calipers, just re-drilled?

I did it because there is a hugh selection of 5x114 wheels . I liked the drags and bought a extra pair of 17x9 to run slicks on allthough they would stick out a little to much for street use. The hubs were a little over $500 for 4. There are cheaper hubs made but I wanted the good ones. A Hubcentric wheel spacer with both wheel patterns will cost you around $50. This is what you use as a guide for drilling the hubs. Get at least a 1 inch one

I found a good price on Amazon.com But if you look around you could probably get them a little cheaper. I think ebay may have them also. Autozone was to high.
