Cool 8 lug patterns

another newbie question, I have a 4 X 100 pattern 2005 Cobalt LS 4dr sedan. Im having some difficulty finding 19's or 20's with this pattern. How about 8 lug patterns? is that the "universal"? and would these work? Also Ivebeen doing quite a bit of searching by vehicle make model year etc. while some only show about a dozen rims that will match my fitment, others high end online rim shops show 10 pages or more, but they all look like 5 or 6 lug? just their error, right? any links would be helpful, thanks guys! you rule.

The 4x100 is the one of the most popular bolt patterns. I would keep looking. The ones that are universal are drilled with ususally 2 -4 bolt patterns.

4X100 is like the most popular bolt pattern in the universe... Civics use it if that tells you anything. The "high end" shops may have pictures of rims with 5 or 6 holes in them... but remember... a rim can come drilled in more than 1 pattern.

Try tirerack.com just an example... but they have all kinds of wheels for the base cobalts.

Yes the 8 hole pattern would be the "universal" 4 lug wheels. They will usually be 4x100 and 4x114.5 the two most popular 4 lug patterns. As long as one of the patterns is 4x100 you are fine.

The reason you will not see much online for the cars in 19's or 20's is because most sites database's will say that 18's are the largest that will go on a base cobalt.. obviously not true. Victoriatire.com has a good listing of both 19's and 20's that will work for our car.

The reason you see the high end wheels listed for our bolt pattern is because companies like HRE and Asanti will pretty much make wheels for WHATEVER... but (and not to dis cuz im in the same car) if you are driving a cobalt.. im pretty sure you arent trying to spend 7g's for wheels alone to go on a 15g car.

If you have questions about wheels in those sizes for our car you can hit me up.. I will lend my assistance
