Best material for wheel refinish?

I know how aluminum is known for poor finish adhesion. I just had another topic about powder-coating pricing. But, is powder coat the best finish I can put on my wheels?

Would 2 part enamel be better, how about 1 part epoxy, krylon, polyester resin, urathane, etc.

I'm sure I missed a few, but really, what would be the most durable finish with the most adhesion?

Color selection is easy, black.

Proper powder coat is the most cost effective, durable finish.

powder coat is the most durable finish, and is just as glossy as paint. It sticks as well as anything else to aluminum. Also the stock ss/tc wheels are powdercoated.

are you retarded.

on powder coated you aren't supposed to spray wheel cleaner on it.... any wheel for that fact.
alum/polished wheels have clear on them.
powder coated wheels do give you deep luster as base and clear can

wheel cleaner is acidic... its not good for anything. to clean wheels and anything for that fact, use car shampoo... and if you want used dawn, but dawn will remove anywax.

you're whole analogy is completely incorrect.

oh and what did our wheels come with FROM factory....base and clear...

You guy are arguing for the wrong reason. You're both right. SS/SC wheels are painted. SS/TC wheels are powdercoated. /fight.

if you get them powder coated they will sandblast them first. What I did was I took and standed them down still they had some grip then I took and washed them really good and after they dried to rubs grease remover on it to get rid of any extra grease then I sprayed it with primer then paint and a year later very few chips (mostly from ground crews working on the road and them having extra gravel on the road.)

most powder coaters do not sand blast as they chemical clean them if they are in good condition.
