Slicks, there is only like 2 or 3 choices.... M&H, Mickey Thompson bike slicks, and Hoosiers (summitracing)

Use bike slick's. That's the cheater way of hooking up at the strip on 17's, allmost did this when i had my IRL but went with Dr's so i could hook on the street and still be legal for the ventura races... lol

wouldnt that 6" tread width be kinda shitty tho? i would think a 225 or 245 drag radial would be better. then again. or what about this 225/45R17 Hoosier cheater slick?

slick>radial all day.

although, he is on a 5557 setup. the bike slick maaaaay not be wide enough for what he's wanting. be switching to a radial thats wider, will havce the same results as a slick that isn't wide enough.

if you don't road race or autocross your car. switch to lsj brakes, shave them down, and run a 15" wheel and true slick

im on the same setup

I know its probably not the best of choices but im considering the BFG Drag radials in a 225 or maybe a Nitto 555R in a 245. but idk...like you said, slicks>radials

well it syour car, not going to tell you have HAVE to do something. hahah just trying to give you the best options. and switching to lsj brakes you could also make some cash as well, probably enough to cover the cost of both wheels.
