I've had Toyo T1R's on my Mazdaspeed Mx5 and it was AMAZING! I personally don't buy any other tire than toyo's now. I've got toyo proxes 4 on my ss/sc which is very similar to the t1r's and I must say, amazing grip.

I've always been partial to Proxies... mostly cause I got them for cost.

BFG's. ive had em all, and just the grip that the kdws give you is enough to call them a traction mod.(my opinion)

Im also rolling on the BFG KDW 2's and find them to be a pretty good tire.

kdw's road noise at 40mph is comprable to a jeep rubicon's tires road noise levels.... toyo proxes 4 and stage 2 netted me a 13.85 over 14.0 and 14.1 with stock pirrellis

proxes ftw

Are you saying this because you heard that from a review or because you had the tire?

I have no idea what road noise people are talking about with this tire because I never hear it...If your driving a Cobalt SS and trying to have a quite car I think you should have went with something else. ****, most of us have cat-back exhaust, CAI and smaller pully anyways so Im sure were not looking to be to quite.

225/40 18 KDW 2's FTW

KDWs work very well in my experience, I have never used the Toyos so I can't say. KDWs outlast the stockers about 2-1 for me, have vastly superior traction all the way around, dry, wet, turning, braking, acceleration, whatever. Awesome upgrade to the car, and they look great as well. 235/40s on the stock rims was beautiful.

the kdw 2's do have some road noise like a mud tire.. i know from experience. i have them on my lt now. but if you want traction then i would say the t1-r hands down.. i can fry the kdw 2's wit my 2.2 auto all the way throu first and start into second when i spray and its only a 75shot.. my buddy has the t1-r's on his nsrt-4 and i've seen them hook on a wet road before..

There's something wrong with your KDWs then, mine were holding the power in second even with the shot.

I know with both the KDW2's and the TR-1's have longer lasting treads... 300 for the KDW2's and 280 for the TR1's compaired to 200 on the Rosso's

I run a 235 kdw on my car, it does good and tread wear is just fine.
