I have 235 kdw's and I'm disappointed. They do grip WELL but not great. I've heard very good things about the Toyo's.

I personally will NOT buy another set of kdw's. Seems like most here have a different opinion.

I think this thread could go on forever...

Just pick a tire and go with it.
If your driving the car hard enough to be this worried about it than the tires should be wore out within a year and you can decide for yourself if there worth buy again or not.

Amen. Great tire, was cutting 1.8 sixties with them last time at the strip, not bad for a "regular" street tire.

Im running 225/40 18's without any problems.

What sold me on 225/40's was when I saw that that was the new stock size for the SS/TC Cobalts.

Great thread, I was asking myself the same question and I'm contemplating trying the T1R's but they're a little more pricey so I may re-buy some KDW's!! I love the KDW's and am very satisfied with them on my ss/sc!!

Holy thread revival Batman!

Nitto Invo's are no slouch either. Great grip, quieter and have a smoother ride than either of the tires in the poll. I would recommend running about 34psi in them though to make up for the slight lack of sidewall stiffness compared to other high performance tires.

There's a lot of useful information that's been talked about so much on this site. And the search works quite well!!

Yep, lots here you just gotta take the time to find it. I go to a meet every Tuesday and have known Fidget for years now. He swears by his Proxes and I was in the same dilemma as he was and yourself.

Quick Reply: BFG KDW's or Toyo Proxes T1R
