Black Wheels, Yellow Brake Calipers?
So I have been debating about this for quite some time. I really want to paint my brake calipers yellow but I have some concerns. I feel like this could turn out either really awesome or really crappy looking. So I need everyone's opinion on the matter. Took some pics of my car as it is and did some real quick MS Paint "shopping" to get a feel for the look I want. What do you guys think?

If I had a black SS with black wheels I'd do my rotors black, and black out the headlights and tint the tails. But then again I love the murdered out look I won't hate on you for doing it or anything, but I think the yellow just sticks out too much, but to each there own. Nice Balt BTW!

Thanks for the photo editing. Looks a lot better than what I threw together! I might have to seriously consider the blue.
Probably going to try to get everything cleaned off this weekend and prepped for paint. Definitely gonna do the hubs black as well to make it cleaner looking.

i have gold calipers. here is a thread from last summer after i did my whole car. i got regular can of gold outdoor paint (like 4$ at ace hardware) and painted on like 3 coats with a good paintbrush in all the crevices. its been a year through crazy winters in NJ and WV and the past 4 months in crazy heat in south florida and the paint is still 100% perfect.

I think I'm gonna end up doin yellow. The way I see it, If I hate how it looks, Ill get some black and cover it. That way I can do some lettering stencils and have yellow lettering on black calipers. Maybe make it say SS or Cobalt or something. I'll be sure to post some pics when I do get it finished. Might be a while though.

Just finished painting the fronts. I used the yellow G2 caliper paint kit and mixed about half of each of the ingredients into a beer can I cut the top off of. Saving the other half for if I get around to doing the backs. I'd put up pics, but literally the second I finished putting on the third coat it started raining out of nowhere!
I have umbrellas over the calipers to try keeping the rain off, but I dont know how well its going to work. Im gonna be pissed if it messes up my paint job.

Did what you suggested there and I think it turned out pretty nice. I still have to paint the calipers but thats a project for another day. Do you think the brake pads will burn off any paint that gets under them? I used high temp. caliper paint and masked off where the pads usually contact the rotors.
