Buying Tires tonight need help deciding!
So my tires are like bologna skins and i was planning on replacing them soon, but considering i ran a screw over yesterday, ill be replacing all 4 tonight....
i'm debating between Kumho Ecsta SPT's for $435 shipped or Hankook Ventus S1 Evo's for $399 shipped through tirerack.com any input? everyone i've talked to said that the Hankooks are better
Thanks Guys
P.S. dont grill me for the cheap tire selection... i wanted some BFG's or Goodyears, but i just lost my job so these are better than nothing for right now

all the reviews on here of those specific Kumho's were good and no one mentioned road noise being bad. Did you actually have them? Just curious because I am going to be looking for a set when I take my rims off for the winter..

i agree... all the reviews i read on the Kumho's were good and that road noise on those specific ones... everyone i talked to said the hankooks wear better and have a bit better grip than the Kumho's but everyone is leary cause Hankook is not as well known as some other companies... ill update after a few hundred miles

the kuhmo arent bad. i have then on my car. almost no road noise. and ride good and good tread wear. and i got em for cheap shipped. like 270shipped. but that was for 215/45/17's. what size are you getting im assuming 225/40/18's?

No i do not personally have kumhos, but im a service advisor, i sell tires, among all sorts of other things, and all I get is bad feedback on kumhos. There is almost always a better option for the money over kumhos.. such as falkens, for example. I only put kumhos on some fleet vans.. they dont care about noise and crappy ride quality.
