Chrome On Laser Blue LS

I originally wasn't going to go with chrome rims but since my dad is taking these off of his car and he offered them to me, I figure that it must be better than buying rims. I seriously can't decide though. I would only need new tires (245/45/18 is already on it). I need opinions...thanks!

Incubus Banshee 18"

Also, a few other questions:

I think this has a universal lug set up. How could I tell if they are universal for sure, since they were bolted on a 5 lug before?

If this does actually work out, I was thinking of going for 225/40/18 tires... sound good?

Finally, If I do go 225/40/18, would the 4x4 fender gap still exist? Should I still get springs later on?

Thanks a lot!

there is no such thing as a universal lug setup...

what size is that wheel? you might be fine with 235/40/18 (thats what i have on my car)

go outside and try put one on, for some reason i doubt its going to work , its probably a universal 5 lug (aka 5-100 and 5x114.3)
you being an 07 ls you have a 5 bolt correct? it would be 5-110 is the problem

what car were they on before?

Oh....man, that sucks. The wheel is 18x7.5.

My 07 LS only is a 4 bolt. They were on a 02 Mercedes S-500. There's 10 holes on the rim.

oh duh you have a ls... well then you have a much better chance.

like i said theres no such thing as a universal wheel... usually they will drill 2 different bolt patterns on a single wheel and call it a day (mine has 2 patterns as well) so b4 i would buy anything i would check to see if they fit... you may luck out but 10 holes usually means it was drilled with 2 5 lug patterns

just to let you know the pattern i found for the 02 s-class is "Bolt pattern: 5x112"

So just jack it up real quick and try to wiggle it on somehow? Can I still get it on there even though those bigger tires are on? If the rim does fit on the lug, I'll get different tires, but for the case of testing.

I was thinking the same thing, but I'm basically getting them for free, so I guess I'll try it.

Yea it is. But they technically aren't my rims, they're my dad's. So it's really take them or not.

Well those rims won't fit. The bolts won't line up. Now what's a good way to go about getting rid of these and getting better rims for my Cobalt?

No, I did, I just thought that maybe some way in hell that I would get lucky... But I didn't. Anybody in/around Sin City want these rims? I need $$ to buy better ones. Also, anybody have any recommendations? I'm looking to get tires and rims for somewhere around 800 or so... I just don't know what looks good on a Laser Blue Cobalt...

You could always try www.tiresdelivered.com. They have wheel and tire packages that you can find for around $800. (cheapest one there that I've seen where lik $650, rims/tires/mounting and balance, lug nut kit)

Or it could be a blank that needs to be drilled.
