I personally think 19s are too much on these cars. I only have a base sedan, and I was thinking the 18s on ss's were a little much. IMO. I'm only gettin 17's

the larger the overall diameter of your wheel the more it takes to spin. The extra power you use to compensate for this will make your tires spin that much more. This is why people are putting smaller tires on their ss/sc's to calm down the wheel spin and to ease up the wheel hop. Yes they look great on all of the cars that I have seen them on but they are not for performance. If you are a performance minded individual your best bet is to go with smaller tires and rims not larger. Yes you can get 30 series tires but like I said the overall diameter of the wheel makes a big difference. Also if you dont like your tread wear now see how good it is with 30 series. I had 20's on my last car looked great but the tread wear was terrible. Also the cracked in half when I hit a major pot hole. They were forged and giavanni if that is how you spell it very expensive. They sent me a new one for no cost and I sold them. I learned my lesson after replacing my whole front end. If you just drive your car around normally and want to show it off get the rims like I said these pics look great.

I love those style rims. I see them on BMW's alot, and are the ones I plan on getting, when I get new ones. 18's though.

Now I would think a WIDER tire on the OEM wheels would be a problem with a slightly larger contact area. Correct me if I'm wrong but the 19" wheels with a lower profile tire than OEM should still be the same overall diameter as the OEM. The only problem I see is the wheel weight and the profile of the tire being so low I have to watch where I drive ALL the time. Good thing I just email'd that website about the weight of the wheels I'm interested in...

Wow,, those 20's aren't that bad. I would never go over 18, imo. But they are still pretty nice looking if your cobalt is for show only.

. Well for some reason there the only ones that i like. I like the look of a 5 star black insert with a chrome lip. very appealing since my Cobalt SS is black. Oh by the way there 1lb lighter then the factory 18s. Factory 18s are 24lbs each. these 19s are 23lbs each. you save 4 lbs
