Drag radials on oem wheels

Going for the ultimate "Oemish" sleeper look. Started with sport 17s so I could run 245/45/17 nitto 555r drag radials. Tried to match the hyper gray look by painting them black and then going over the wheel with a translucent liquid metal, and then ppg clear.

Taking the car to street car take over tomorrow at bandimere drag strip, stock clutch might not be to happy after a few launches but hoping for the best!

Start out with 25psi in them. Nitto says best grip happens at 195 degrees tire temp. I have the same tires.

What axles are you running? Don't launch to hard if you're running stockers I've watched a few lsjs at bandimere snap an axle from trying to launch hard

I'm running gm performance stage 1 axles. The previous owner broke an axle the only time he ever to the car to the track, that was in stock form. I've read the upgraded axles are good till about 300hp.

I'll try 25 psi in the tires, that seems like good place to start!
