Getting New Rims, Have Some Basic Questions
I am looking at buying SS rims/wheels. I have an LS.
Will they just mount without any modification? Plug and play.
Will my gas mileage change?
How will my ride be affected?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the new Ls's for 07 had five lugs? Not sure of the bolt pattern though. Not even sure if he has an 07 or not. Pdub didn't say.

The 07 Lt's have 16" 5 lug wheels. It's on their web site. As for Pdub, he stated he has an LS witch only come in a 4 lug pat. (I think that's right) So the SS rims are out the question.

you'd be better off buying after market wheels bud...you'd have to try and change out the complete hub assemblies (from 4lug to 5lug) which would take mega $$$$$...find some nice 4 lug 18's...they'll probably end up being lighter, too...

TSAperformance has an lt2 with the sc wheels. it an o7 and it came with 5 lug. just to confirm that some one on the site has then on a non ss model. bu they are correct about you having the four lug. you would have to swap out rotors and so on for the swap to f lug. there is some work behind it.
^^^^^got beat to say about alot of work and money to swap, i also forgot to add more then the rotors, lol its too late i need sleep.

I appreciate everyone's feedback and help.
So I'd have to replace the hub assembly, correct? On my 95 F150 this would be a matter of 1.5 hours of work, and it would be easy. I assume it is going to be completely different with this car. Hah.
Yes, those are a good find on ebay. Thanks for your efforts there. I still only like the look of the SS rims though. I would only settle for the Chevy rims. I don't like much after market for some reason. I would spend the money / go through the labor to get them. I am just that way ;-)
For now, I believe I'll just stick around with what I have. I'm happy. If I ever do go through with this, I will post everything as a How to.
There are some questions that I would still like a response to. If I were to upgrade to the larger rim and tire...
Will my gas mileage change?
How will my ride be affected?
Do you need to tell the computer that you have a different tire and rim size?
Thanks again all.
Edit:
Are these rims Chevy? I would settle for these as 4 lug. But I'd need to know the answers to the questions above.

^ ^ Your gas mileage shouldn't be affected. You may not even notice unless you get super heavy 28" rims.
As far as the ride goes, it depends on how big you get your rims. If your going one size up from stock you have nothing to worry about.
Two sizes and you'll start to notice a little harsher ride, but not to the point where it rattles your teeth. You'll also notice a quicker steering response due to the smaller profile.
As far as the computer is concerned, your size difference won't be that drastic where it would interfere with anything. As long as you do the plus 1, plus 2 method on your tire and rim selection you'll be fine.
You shouldn't have anything to worry about.
To your other question above, yep those are chevy rims. I think they come standard on that model. Checkout the GM website and it will tell you more. If anything, you can get those on Ebay or through the dealership.

Yes there is... but the difference is so minimal you wont notice... You have to remember as you go up in wheel size you go down in tire size so the over all diameter of the wheel and tire stays pretty much the same... the only time u may notice some gas mileage difference is if you go with heavier wheels.. and thats not a huge issue but its something u would want to consider.
As the others suggested i would look into other wheels rather than try to do a conversion on your car. 1... time and money... by the time u spend all that money on just the conversion you could have bought very nice set of wheels and tires.. 2.. with the 4x100 bolt pattern we actually lucked up.. the wheel selection is greater for that bolt pattern than for the 5x110..even though u already have the wheels u want in mine. if your are DEAD SET on those wheels..
The only suggestion i can make to you is wheel adapters but finding a conversion set from 4x100 to 5x110 will be a task and the adapters are usually 2" thick so your wheels would poke out. The wheels on the car u asked about come stock on some of the LS's they are what I have on mine
