getting your wheels warrantied.
I recently stopped out at my dealer and asked them about my wheels which are chipping really bad of the sides of the spokes... they said gm allows all the dealers to warranty a set of wheels for the cobalts/hhr's etc... but when i asked them about the wheels they told me that i could either get the 07 ss wheels or the 08 tc wheels so anyone looking to get 08 tc wheels for free this is a very easy way to do so if you and your dealership get along just fine..

As long as your car is under warranty you are fine.. and if your wheels are chipping/ peeling. I was told by my dealer that GM allowes the dealerships to put wheels on a car once..and the service manager at my dealer also said we can get TC wheels if the supplier has them. If they do warranty your wheels sometimes gm doesnt want your old ones back and will charge a 50 dollar core charge to keep them...( make a good set of winter wheels) powder coating mine..
As far as what is going on with my wheels i will keep you guys posted. I am going out tomorrow might after work to get this process moving..

Yeah, well I tried and they said that Chevy would reject mine because it looks like there's some curbage on them. And mine is still under warranty. Damn... I just don't want to get charged like 1k or anything when I go and turn this thing in.
Yes, curbage is bad. BUT, this is a long shot..... according to the dealer I went to, GM sells them to a rim refinishing company, whom in return sells them back to GM, body shops and the public. According to this thread, you can keep your wheels for $50 a piece. So, my arguement would be: OK, there is curb rash, but the curb rash did not cause the paint to flake off and the wheel corrode, let me buy my old curb rashed wheel(s) and warranty my wheels for the issue at hand. I didn't have any huge, noticible curb rash that this dealer saw sugnificant.
