Going back to 17's.. Tire help..

Hey guys,

So, I'm most likely gonna trade a guy my SS s/c 18's for his IRL 17's (and a big lot of tires) in a few weeks.. It's a set of all 4 wheels, a set of 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE92's, a set of 4 Avon M550's, and a set of 2 Hankook Optimo H426's.. I decided to just have him get all 4 Potenza's installed and I'd go from there..

My question is this.. All of the above tires listed were given half-way results in Tire Rack reviews.. I'm in Pittsburgh, and thus I need a tire that can do some snow and ice.. I'm not saying it has to go off-road and be able to drive through a foot, but if a little snow comes through, I need the car to work.. All of the tires listed, despite them saying "all season performance", seem to be just mediocre in the snow and ice.. Anyone use any of these..?? Should I bother keeping the other tires or should I just sell them instead of them sitting in my garage..??

Now, I've previously used P-Zero Nero M+S's, P-Zero Rosso's, and P6's on my car.. The P6's stock, and the P-Zero's on the 18's.. I got kinda tired of the super harsh ride with the 18's and I really don't want to pay $200 to replace a tire when they need done.. The Rosso's are super horrid in the snow, the Nero's were descent in the snow, and the P6's were probably the best in the snow.. As to actual performance, the Rossos do indeed kick ass..

Anyone else have any good all-season type tires that they reccommend for 17's..?? I want them to be something that still performs in the summer, but grips good in the rest of the year.. I'll get my better tires when I move next year.. lol..

Falken 912's blow ass. I would atleast get 452 in Falken or go with something else totally. 912 is bottom of the barrel
