Goodyear Egale F-1 All Seasons
#3
I was about to buy these tires based on the reviews, but my local GoodYear dealer highly advised not to get them. He said that they've seen a lot of problems with them cupping early and only lasting ~15000 miles. He didn't try to sell me on something else, so I can only assume he was being honest.
Just to be clear, I've never driven on the F1's; almost all of the reviews I read were good...I'm just passing along what one "expert" told me.

Thanks for your post. I did some checking & net surfing and it turns out the problems were coming from the 19 & 20 inch tires so everyone does have their opinions out there. I needed new tires as the cheap crap stock perrillis got bulges in the side wall from a pot hole and were too tred worn so i got a set of the f-1's and so far they are amazing in every way. you have to drive on a set to really feel them perform.

I bought a set of 225/45 R18s last December. So far I have about 28,000mi on them and they are awesome... The car handles like it is on rails on dry pavement, holds the road better than the P Zeros that came on the car in the rain and you can actually drive the car in the snow now… Best $600 set of tires I ever bought!
BTW my speedo is within +/- 1% now as opposed to almost +4% from the factory...

I've got the F1 All Seasons on my Cobalt and the tires are amazing. As far as a max performance summer tire, I would go with the Eagle F1 GS-D3's. I've got them on my GTP and the car handles like a Ferrari. I pull all new suspension on it last year and a set of these tires. It takes corners with no problems now.

I just installed these on my car about a week an a half ago. I have an 09' SS/tc with a hahn intake and 3" catback and the GMS1. I went to buy BFG KDW-2's and the manager at the store told me he had both those and these GoodYears on his car, and said he preferred these. He also showed me that the treadwear rating is 420A.A. on the goodyears, while the BFG's were only 300A.A. These tires stick great, I only get a little chirp when I do NLS from 1st to 2nd. I also came around a corner at exactly 1.00g's and I was completely planted. I've definatly been made a beliver lol.
