Has anyone with 19's bent a rim?
Has anyone with 19's bent a rim?
I am leaning towards getting 19's, but I am just curious how common it is for 19's to get bent from hitting potholes. I plan on running 235/35/19 tires, so I should have a half decent sidewall still. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I considered them actually, but I decided I didn't want black wheels again. They are sold now. I know which ones I want, but they are also available in 18's, so I am just trying to re-assure myself that I won't have issues with 19's.
Yeah, I read that in the 19's thread. I think he had it repaired though, so he didn't have to buy a new wheel. I may get a 5th wheel just in case. The ones I'm looking at getting are only about $200 each and they are not being made in 5x110 anymore I don't think.

Most wheels are only made for 1 or 2 years, so it could be hard to replace any wheel 2-3 years down the road. If I buy a 5th wheel, I probably will never need it, but I will have the peace-of-mind knowing I have an extra if one is damaged beyond repair.
