sorry it's not a blue one but I did this to my car only a few weeks after I got it. I just never really liked the gunmetal on the red, now I love the look of the car with the tint, blacked out lights and wheels

Thanks man! I paint myself so honestly i'm not sure what a shop would charge to spray them for ya... I guess it depends on the shop. I bought a quart of satin black from my local paint shop, sanded the living hell outta the rims (inside and out) primed them with high build primer (about 3 coats) scuffed that down and then sprayed the wheels with a few coats of the satin black. So far they are holding up very well, although the best option out there is powdercoating but I didn't have that option as this is the daily driver. I think come winter i'll get mine coated now that I know I love the look.

Mine on my yellow balt. Check out the pictures in my garage. I did pretty much the same 607 I have 5 coats of clearcoat to make them glossy instead of flat black like I see on lots of there balts.

I'm planning on getting mine done in a week or two as well. I'm getting mine powdercoated black with a high gloss finish. I'm a little hesitant on doing it because I'm not sure if I'm going to completely like how it comes out, but we'll see. 607Motorsports, do you have any more pics of your rims?

I had mine painted black proffesionally by a buddy who works in auto body. It was done for $200. hell of a deal for a perfectly matched paint job.

i've got a few other pics for ya. I honestly wasn't diggin the gloss look so I professionally painted mine satin black, I can't exactly remember the paint code off the top of my head but any paint shop should be able to get you a satin black if that's what anyone wanted.

If you can get them powdercoated its definately the best option and it also won't scuff when putting the tires back on. If you just paint them a little trick i've learned through the years is to leave the tires on and use index cards. Place them between the tire and the wheel and voila, it works like a charm

I paint navy aircraft, and a little trick i like to use is to tape everything off then for the few spots you can't get with tape use vaseline. Any paint you get on the vaseline will just wipe off when the rest of the paint dries, since the vaseline will act as barrier between the paint and the other suface, one good wipe and the over spray is history.

Im so glad I was checking the wheels and tires section out. I just stoped by an auto body shop after i got out of work this morning and asked them about painting mine all black to match my car. I was curious to see what it was gonna look like and damn those look bad man. I bet you it would look a hell of a lot better once lowered but still bad ass. Got a question, when you get your tires changed have they ever got scratched?? Im deffinetly getting mine painted after motor mounts and smaller pulley for the stage 2.
