Help With Final Decision!

Ok so I just got my paycheck today with my big fat raise.

I would love to spend it on performance... but... winters coming and I need tires.

Two options:

1.) Keep stock Rims and get P-zero M+S tires from tirerack. 4 Tires shiped comes to: $568.68 plus like $40 for mounting and balancing. This way I can keep the tires on year round.

Or

2.) Get a winter Package from Tirerack... 16" Rims + Dunlop winter sport M3s (215/55/16) (mounted and balanced from tirerack) shipped for $792.04

Based on read reviews and rating...

Here is a quick over-view:

D = Dry
W = Wet
H = Hydro
S = Snow
C = Cornering
T = Thread Life

OE = The stock tires

____D___W___H___S___C___T___
M3: 8.3 - 8.7 - 8.7 - 9.2 - 8.1 - 8.4
MS: 9.0 - 8.7 - 8.7 - 7.5 - 8.7 - 8.3
OE: 8.8 - 7.6 - 7.4 - NA - 8.6 - 5.0

As you can see the M+S tires are wicked good. Completely destroying the the Stock P-zeros.

But... is it worth the almost ~$200 more for the M3 + Wheels? I drive fairly hard... and will continue to drive hard during the winter (when the roads are dry).

The M+S Seem to be a better deal for the money because I can continue to drive them even when the winter ends and won't have to replace the stock pzeros half way through summer...

Anyway I don't really know which way to go...

I could really use some opinions and reasons for what you choose and why.

Thanks a LOT!

my self went out and bouth M/S tires and rims from tire rack for my CSS and so far i love them they grip very very good here in our MI winter....plus haveing the extra set of rims will give the chance to mount a drag radial tire on it come next summer and woodward.

good luck picking but rember when it gets shity out side the m/s tire will act better than any other type and you dont wanna risk your babby do ya?

Better than the M3s in the snow...

Have you driven the M+S in the snow yet? Can you give some details about how they are... what kind of snow conditions you drove in?

Thanks,
Rich

Rich
