i've noticed that both of those tires wear fairly fast, so when you get them for cheap realize they wont last as long as say a michelin performance tire

I"ve had the falkin's and i would NEVER buy them again! horrable in the rain!!! also VERY VERY noisy especially after you get a few miles on them!

I highly recomment the Dunlop SP Sport FM901 $98 if you go 225/40/18 awesome in the rain and quiet! i would also highly recomment the Sumitomo HTR+ $93 in the same size. both are on tire rack. the Sumitomo's should be better all season and not quite as god in the rain but all in all excellent tires. i have the dunlops in a set of 18's off my grand am gt that are going on this car when i wear the pirelli's out.

You can also get the pirelli P-Zero Nero's for about $125 they look like excellent tires too!

I've had my Falken's for over a year and no problems at all. They suck a little in heavy rain, but I tend to avoid driving in it. My car's suspension takes over to compensate for that anyways - good thing that $2500 can get you a good suspension system.

Those Dunlops are pretty good, what's the sidewall strenght like? I though i heard they were a little on the soft side.
